OK....I must be doing something wrong here,I went to the Venus farming location as seen in the vid,but I'm only getting level 11-13 enemies while I'm a 20...so I'm not getting anything good here...lol

I seen in the vid that dude is fighting level 20 enemies?....how is he able to do that?

The drops will level to you. I've farmed that area at level 21 (now 22) a few times now, and have received upgrades every time.

Does anyone have this issue where you lose connection to the servers periodically?

It happens to me probably once every hour. I'll be doing a mission, and it says I lost connection, kicks me out to the main menu, and I have to go back in again. It saves my progress and everything (leveling up, bounties), but I have to go in and start the mission over from the beginning, which is kind of annoying.

Check the vid again. The dregs and goblins are level 11. Besides, the level of the mob doesn't determine the drop. It's completely random.

the legendary helmet that you get from the crucible guy with the big armor i had found it in the farming area, had played with some others for two hours didnt find a purple drop, took a nap, played with my brother, 30 mins in i find that helmet

Just play Control a few times and the other modes will open.

Gold chest question

on mars I'm trying to get the last gold chest in dust palace! but when I enter the room with #3 on it the chest is missing. I know it's the last because I save it for last being a strike mission. Anyone else have trouble?

Anywhere I can read up about how the game chooses who and when to spawn someone in to your game ? I don't have anyone to play with usually because of time zone differences so I'll have randoms pop into my game occasionally.

It's happened twice recently and both times they came up in the middle of the mission I was on, rather than the beginning. The first time it was really helpful and this last time they were only there for a minute before moving on.

I'm just wondering because I know people can be in the same area for random reasons. Does it give them an option to help with your mission even if they have beat it all ready or do they just tag along and help if they want ?

Just a few things I was curious about. Overall the game is getting better as I unlock things, but I can see how it could be a little repetitive sometimes.

I think this game has to be played with some sort of surround or decent headphones. Tried without my Wireless Golds today and it was nowhere near as fun. The sound effects and enemies are awesome and sometimes frightening when you're in CQ combat. I feel a real sense of urgency at times.

Been going most of the game alone here, been struggling at times. Played alot of Patrol missions on Earth just to try and level up quicker. Finally got some decent drops of gear and weapons. Moved onto the moon now, I tried moving on to it before I was really ready to and I got destroyed haha. Level 11 now, with some good stuff, powered through the first moon mission, had a blast with it, can't wait to get home from work tonight and keep moving through the moon.

Ok, could someone explain in layman"s terms how this "farming" is done?

How does one FARM in Destiny when it comes to finding legendary gear? Is it just a matter of killing anything that moves and see what they drop?

Maybe it's to early in the morning and my brain is not computing LOL

Any help is greatly appreciated!
