Re: Destiny
There's always other player around doing their own thing. You can squad up with them if you want, but you can do everything alone.Comment

Re: Destiny
It is only online. As far as your other question it's kind of I the middle. You enter your own world with a small amount (less then 15) of human players doing their own thing.
There's quite a bit that I'd say can't be done alone.Last edited by Mabster; 09-29-2014, 06:02 PM.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: Destiny
Thanks, the only time I've played a game like this was an old game named Asheron's Call. AC required a monthly fee. Is there a similar fee for this game?
How does Destiny compare to other games in this genre?≡Comment

Destiny
you dont pay for destiny like other mmos like ff 14 or wow, you just buy the game pretty much like you buy anyother game. in terms of how it compares to others in the genre, the game is pretty addicting in its own self and if you play with others its pretty fun. think of halo mixed with diablo except less loot than diablo. in terms of the story imo its pretty weak. not alot of backstory to some parts so it has some grey parts when ur playing through.

The story is terrible. You'll have more questions than answers. Something clearly went very wrong during development.
No answers. No character development at all. If you need a good story this isn't the game for you.Comment

Re: Destiny
I would argue there's not a story at all, just a series of tasks to do without context.
The only story they give you is the grimoire cards and, imo, even those aren't particularly well written. The theory that the story was way different and they gutted it and tried to showhoorn stuff into grimoire cards fits with what we have.Comment

Re: Destiny
That's interesting. With no monthly fee I'm guessing they will fill in the empty spots in the story by selling add on content from time to time.you dont pay for destiny like other mmos like ff 14 or wow, you just buy the game pretty much like you buy anyother game. in terms of how it compares to others in the genre, the game is pretty addicting in its own self and if you play with others its pretty fun. think of halo mixed with diablo except less loot than diablo. in terms of the story imo its pretty weak. not alot of backstory to some parts so it has some grey parts when ur playing through.

Re: Destiny
I soloed the nightfall yesterday for the hell of it. I did the kill 10 fallen major bounty so picked the nightfall since there are loads of them in the beginning. After I completed it I thought I just continue until I died. Well I got to the nexus and destroyed him with the galahorn rocket and completed it. 121 enemies killed, to bad I already had the reward. XD. I felt like a bad ***. Lol.
The 2 kills at once with the fusion rifle is easy. Just load of the darkness mission (first one I believe) on the moon with the first heroic modifier on (lvl 9 one I believe) and get to the end when you open the cave with all the hive coming out of it. (The Ghost will say "we awoken the hive") and kill the thralls that storm from the cave. Once your done let the knight kill you and it will immediately spawn you right after the door opens again. Rinse and repeat, it's also a good way to get your other bounties (kill X amount of hive, kill hive majors and ultras, kill 3 at once with super, etc). Just don't kill the knight, I'd you do it will give you a check point after that area. Once finished just go to orbit and the lvl will save you right there when you resume it again.I know that is not it. I rarely do Crucible bounties and I completed 1 exotic bounty and have another in progress. I usually have 1 vanguard left over as well(I always have the kill 2 or more people at once with fusion rifle that I never try to do), and I don't do the queen's bounties dealing with Crucible.
to add, the last one I picked up came when I only turned in 1 vanguard bounty. didn't do any Crucible bounties, had 1 vanguard bounty and 2 queen's bounties on the list.

Re: Destiny
Do I need to do anything specific to get certain Queen's rewards? I've done 5 Queen's Kill Orders now, and I've gotten the Hood every single time. I REALLY could use the chest piece, as I'm rocking a rare chest right now, and that would put my light level up to 26.
Just curious if there is anyway to ensure that I receive the chest piece. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or the RNG literally hates me.Comment
