I've gotten a few new legendary weapons. all 3 characters are either 31 or can be 31 once the upgrades are unlocked. most of the armor came from drops or packages from faction rank ups. I went from having 200+ shards/energies to less than 100 each.

still end up using Fatebringer and Corrective Measure though. that gun still holds up in most cases. my special has changed depending on mission/situation. Got a sniper LDR 5001 from a vanguard package, that thing can hit pretty hard. It's impact is just a sliver less than Ice Breaker. I did trade in one of my old Ice Breaker's for a new one. still slow to upgrade, but it's still great even without upgrades. I will probably upgrade my other 2 before Xur leaves, need some more Glimmer first.

What's the deal with Eris and gear/weapons? I haven't seen anything other than emblems and class items.

You get Murmur from the first set of missions. She gives you another piece of gear after finishing the Xur quest, doing that last mission which is ridiculous. Not sure if the gear you get is random or set.

based on the database for her, it's always gauntlets.

Yeah, it's set, and totally not worth the effort at all. That's a lot of hoops for what amounts to vendor gauntlets. For the warlock they looked OK, I guess, but not at all worth the effort of getting them and then leveling them up.

And yes, that last mission is ridiculous, also I didn't realize until the end that it spawns swords for you to use, I just jumped on top of the door and made sure to take out shooters first.

I've yet to do a VoG raid. Would like to get it done once. If I could get an invite to the groupme chat or an invite to a raid, I would much appreciate it, thanks guys.

I tried using the swords the first time I went in there, it didn't work out too well. I just ended up running/jumping around and shooting at everything chasing me. that seemed to work much better.

I did end up using the gauntlets on my hunter as I needed them to reach 31. so it was useful for one of my characters at least.

The Nightfall is so hard this week. Maybe it is because I don't have fully leveled weapons and I went in blind. Took about 90 minutes and my buddy had to go. I still want to finish it

That new Earth Crucible map is terrible. It doesn't help that you can't play anything other than team deathmatch on it. If I wanted to walk around without seeing an enemy for 2 minutes and then get sniped by somebody halfway across the map, I'll play Battlefield, at least that has useful vehicles.

I like that level, it gives an edge to Hunters who can use Shadowjack and Invisibility. Hunters are waaay outmatched against Warlocks and Titans in the open so if you play as one of those you probably won't like skywatch.


On a separate note, I got Red Death on a raid last week and I can see that Xur has one to trade for. Need to get my glimmer up so I can trade for the upgraded version.

This Thorn bounty will be the death of me. I hate that the exotic bounties are so unbalanced. Some of them, such as Invective and SGA, take a matter of 30 minutes or so to complete. Thorn, you have to grind forever in the crucible to get 500 points through void kills. It wouldn't be so bad if the Crucible wasn't a poorly realized PVP, but it takes infuriatingly long to complete. After four games or so of stomaching it, I'm only up to 170 of the 500 points. Then, after, you have to kill Xyor in what I've heard is quite difficult.

Not sure who balanced the exotics bounties, but it's kind of ridiculous.

So I take that back, haha. I whipped out the 77 Wizard, and 3 games later, the MP portion of Thorn is complete. Fusion rifles really do dominate. The Wizard has nearly max impact anyways, so that helps. I'll admit that I was just frustrated. I don't like being forced into the Crucible for bounties, but at least it's over.

Now to take down Xyor.

The strategy I used for Xyor was to stand on the top ledge with my back to the pillar going up to the ceiling. When you first walk in, you'll see the ads up there and they hop down. Clear the room then unchain Phogoth and do some damage on him. Luckily I had 2 other people who needed to complete that part. If you're on ps4 and need help, I'll help.
