Of course, I had a long post explaining why, but my tablet lost it so I will post the tldr version instead. Outside of Tuesdays, I'm feeling really burned out with this game. Eris is really to blame, making me repeat the same stuff so much has burned me out on bounties and strikes, which is 99% of what I did in the game.

Re: Destiny
I have the same with firefly and explosive rounds. I just use the firefly perk which is goodComment

The burnout is legit, I've heard it from a few people. We're to blame lol, playing this as much as we do.Of course, I had a long post explaining why, but my tablet lost it so I will post the tldr version instead. I start to burn out a bit then it pulls me back with amazing drops. In the last two days I've gotten Vanquisher VIII, Up For Anything, For The People, Venation III, NITC, Badger, Praedyth's Timepiece etc.
All 331 legendary primaries with great rolls (field scout, firefly, perfect balance, outlaw, etc). It makes me want to play more to build them up, but on the other hand it's a bit overwhelming to build up all these weapons.
I still have my upgraded Hawkmoon & Monte Carlo to build up amongst a few other exotics.
I feel like a Destiny social worker and my case load just keeps getting bigger.Comment

Re: Destiny
I'm the complete opposite. The quest for good drops is keeping me going. I run nightfalls and watch friends get Gjallarhorn while I get a shotgun I won't look twice at. I ran Crota's End last night and got only radiant mats while friends got Black Hammer and other things. Then I ran hard mode VOG and watched people get Praedyth's Revenge, Fatebringer and Vex Mythoclast while I get *** mats. The burnout is legit, I've heard it from a few people. The yearning for something like Mythoclast is why I keep playing. I want something I'll actually use (got The Clash in the nightfall and two One Way Tickets from an engram and the gift).
I've been playing a lot of Crucible lately to purchase Vanquisher and I'm close to buying an LDR.Comment

Re: Destiny
Well, that's another issue, outside of hawkmoon and the crota launcher, I don't need anything. Hand cannons can't roll firefly, so I won't bother with any of those, everything else is covered and leveled. Only other thing I need is titan raid gear and that's just once a week.Comment

Re: Destiny
If you're like me and play PvP 90% of the time, you won't be feeling burn out
P.S. I haven't bothered doing Eris bounties because I knew that grind would be hellLast edited by Moses Shuttlesworth; 01-10-2015, 09:52 PM.Comment

Re: Destiny
I've gotten pretty much everything I want, minus the Fatebringer, Black Hammer, and the Mythoclast. I'm definitely thankful for the patch that buffs exotics obtained in the VoG up to 331, as my buddies actually plan on running it again. Ever since they all got the FB/Mythoclast, noone wants to run it anymore.
I too feel the grind though. I have about two days left of Eris bounties to hit level 4, where I can swap 6 energies for shards and get to 32 with my Warlock. I have the Hunger of Crota, Light of the Abyss, and Song of Ir Yut (maxed), so other than Black Hammer, I'm set until the hard raid. I have the gear necessary to get my Titan to 32, but man, the grind through the raid for shards for him as well is going to suck.
As it is, I've almost entirely stopped doing the daily missions. I've only been doing Eris bounties with the exception of a few quick 5000 XP bounties for the Vanguard. I really only dump a lot of time in on Tuesday (Nightfall x3) and on Friday (raids), with some Weekly Heroic strikes sprinkled in.
To be honest, I almost quit before the DLC came out. I was getting absolute garbage rewards for everything (Nightfalls, VoG hard mode, etc.), while all of my closer friends were getting everything. Nothing beat the run on the Vault where 4 friends got the FB, and the 5th got the Mythoclast. I was blessed with shards, energies, and the shader for the umpteenth time. I wound up sticking it out, and I've been quite lucky as of late compared to the crap I was dealt before. That's the issue with games like this. When your luck grinds to a halt, it's REALLY hard to justify continuing to play the same content over and over when you just know you're not going to get what you want.Comment

Re: Destiny
For reference on how hard I hit the Eris bounties, I hit level 4 with her over a week ago.
A break is ok though, giving me time to get through far cry 4 and maybe even dragon age before hard crota. I'm only about halfway through far cry, it's a pretty long game.Comment

Re: Destiny
Damn dude. There were a few days where I just didn't feel like doing bounties, or I'd just do a few and call it good. I was good knowing I'd likely hit 32 before hard mode came out either way, so it wasn't too big of a deal. Doesn't help that Eris has basically the exact same bounties every day. Thankfully, you can knock out most of them in a few runs of the Fist of Crota mission.
And yeah, I've used the lack of playing time to really get into Dragon Age, which is a fantastic game. I'm at about 50 hours right now.Comment

Re: Destiny
Only thing that is annoying about PvP is the lack of maps in the rotation. It's actually downright inexcusable if you ask me. It's literally the same 3 maps over and over. Especially on control.
First Light (I think) the moon map WAS in the rotation but not anymore. I don't see any reason not to have every map in every game mode. Yeah the small maps on control might get hectic but so what. Changes it up a bit at least. It's so monotonous right now, the maps.
If Bungie really wanted to get crazy they could even give us a voting option
Ya know, the tried and true: Replay map (only once per vote), list of three, none of the above/refresh (only once). I just don't see why not. Why have a pretty short list of maps to start, and on top of it not even utilize them all. It's actually a driving force away from PvP. IMO anyway.

Re: Destiny
It's funny. I almost never play PvP, but when I do, I actually do have a bit of fun over the course of a few games. I had to play PvP to complete my Thorn bounty, and considering I had to actually do well to obtain the kills necessary for Thorn, it was frustrating. But after completing the bounty, I stuck with PvP for a couple more days and it was fairly fun.Only thing that is annoying about PvP is the lack of maps in the rotation. I'd imagine in the long run the lack of maps would be frustrating though. I'm not much of a PvP player anyways, despite typically doing well in this game. The only reason I have to do it now is when I get to the PvP portion of my Bad Juju bounty, and to possibly grind marks to buy the Saterienne Rapier.Comment

Re: Destiny
I'm only playing crucible now to get the rapier. I'm only at level about 1.75 though, so it's going to take me a while. In hindsight I wish I would have sprinkled in more crucible over the past month. But who knew the crucible weapons would be so much better than the vanguard weapons. It's funny. Re: Destiny
Gerg, I wasn't a fan of First Light at all so I'm happy to see that it's rarely in the playlist.
I don't know what happened to Bastion; that was my favorite map. Seemed like a legit Halo map they threw in, but I haven't played it in at least 2 months.Comment
