I'll be back from my work trip a day early on Saturday and I'll be playing late into the night and all Sunday/Monday to gear up for IB. Will start with my Titan and will transfer engrams and items to my Warlock as I progress to level him 2nd.

That Hammer looks too nice

The wait this week to play is killing me, I think I've read every TTK article there is to read on the internet haha

A new mission on earth has opened up and it seems extremely likely that it is very related to the Sleeper. This could be huge.

The sleeper simulant was being sold as a mystery to figure out, but instead it was an arbitrary "whenever Bungie decided to flip a switch and turn the quest on".

That wouldn't be so bad, but they really hyped the gun before release, hyped the mystery to figure out, and then set the community down a dead end path. Not only all that, the community trying to think of how this could be done came up with much better theories than the mundane, time gated, quest it seems to be.

Yeah I had really hoped it would be more than it was. But I'll admit the transponder codes will give people a hard time. Should've been tied to gun smith rep along with the fusion rifles and maybe something else.

Ehh. Leads me to believe the gun will be a bit of a dissappntment.

For being so hyped up, this quest is really shoddily designed.

Step 1: Go to random mission that pops up. With no voice over or explanation go to spot indicated on HUD. With no reason, fight a bunch of taken and shielded knights. Fight random knight major. Get quest item.

Step 2: Randomly try number sequences in a series of items with no clues or puzzle to solve, just input numbers and try.

Step 3: Replay a chunk of a mission in a time limit fighting taken and normal wizards along the , once again without reason, story, or voiceover.

Step 4: Fulfill a few requirements of new quest item, at least this time a modicum of thought is needed.

Maybe this wouldn't have seemed so bad if it wasn't for yesterday's awesome VoG extras, but this thing is a dud.

Haven't gotten that far.

It feels like Bungie made the quest items then completely forgot to put the things in a quest in the game so they had to hastily put in the missions

The codes are supposed to correspond to where the regular knights and taken knights stand when they spawn in each wave. But this unfinished *** quest doesnt make that clear


So im pretty sure No Time to Explain will get started the same way then. Some time locked quest Bungie decides it wants to flip 'on'

I saw that, but that is awful, just means you would have to play through that obnoxious mission again because nobody would pay attention to that spawn pattern. Hell, I did it solo and couldn't even tell you what number of knights spawned.

Now I have spent like 90 minutes trying to get a warsat to spawn on Mars, and spent like 40 before that bouncing between the three (finally did get one on moon). This is really fun.

I was just coming to post that SUPER annoying that I've spent more time tracking and trying to find Warsats on three planets. But only in my character with the quest. Did it on my alt and took me 28 minutes to find one on each planet....

I imagine more of these "locked quests" will be coming in the future. For example there is a exotic warlock helmet, hunter chest, and titan chest that have not been seen anywhere. Rumor is Cayde will give hunters a quest for that chest piece in the future. Must be some of that "free content" bungie is giving us with that emote revenue they make in the upcoming year.


I still cant get over the arbitrary wait times. This quest seems to be part one of a multi part quest to get this gun. This may only be the beginning.

Ben patrolling Mars for 91 minutes now....

Update: Finally done only took 108 minutes patrolling Mars to finish this part of the quest. I'm calling it now, if these ****s at Bungie make me do Fear Eater one more time I'm done. Holy hell that is one annoying *** mission.

Now, I say that knowing that the "final" mission to get it will be S.A.B.E.R 2 with a suggested light level of 300 but still. NO MORE FEAR EATER!!!!

Got lucky earlier. Was just about ready to leave the Scablands when it popped up. Soloing it was actually tough, but smoke bombs and the Dark Drinker got me through.

Now to wait for the next step in the quest.

haven't been lucky on the warsats. took nearly an hour on Earth, still waiting on the moon.

I did get lucky on the archive mission as I had a save at the very end, so that didn't take long at all.

It probably doesn't get noticed that much but being able to get exotics from quest is pretty nice. Although you do have to wait for them and do some frustrating stuff for it, but it way better than putting you hopes in RNG each week. I still havent complete the nightfall yet and don't plan to anytime soon with these quest and three of coins.

Find it funny how my friends just abandon all there quest then wonder how you get certain exotics. Now their starting the Chaperone quest and they are struggling worst than me, even though I'm helping them kill people.

I feel like crucible has gotten worse with the TTK. Noticing a lot more panic super, terrible spawns, lack of map knowledge and general awareness from teammates. I think most of this is due to the new players that came with the TTK.
