God RNG is a cruel mistress. Really want the Telesto and the Zhalo, but with the 3oC, I've managed to pull 4 Hawkmoons and 5 Invective/4th Horseman. At least I got SOMETHING new in the Hereafter, but it's really not that good.

It's to the point I don't even get excited for exotic engrams anymore.

Trying to prep myself this week on what to expect and what to do when I start playing again on Sunday. I've always been a Warlock guy but it seems as if everyone is a fan of the new Titan.

Any thoughts on which of the three to level up first?

I cant get sword kills to save my life. I hold my own in crucible but when the heavy arrives I just lose all composure and embarrass myself.

I've always been a Warlock guy too, but that's been the character left behind for me. I like Nightstalker best, which is awesome because I've always disliked playing a hunter. In the raid, you're likely running that or defender. Stormcaller isn't that great to me because you have to get out in the open to use the super. It's my goto in crucible though.

The pvp **** for the sword sucks. At least you only need to do it once.

Thought you had to do it once, for each of the three swords.

Transfer sword to the character you already did that part for before you infuse 280 to the hidden node. It skips the crucible part of the quest chain.

You may be screwed if you already got to that part.

LOL, I know right? How hard is it to follow simple instructions? Gotta commend Whynotx on his patience to not completely lose his **** with people. I could tell he was getting mad, but I would have told a couple of those guys to **** right the hell off.

I really feel like I understand all parts of the raid well enough, it just takes communication, focus, and patience.......and a good sniper rifle.

Yeah he maintains a lot better than I do. When I'm helping him I get frustrated quickly if people are not doing the simple things right or talking over him as he explains it.

You're right though the raid is all mechanics. Once you have a good feeling on them it's all about execution from there. We are already under 90 minutes for the raid next goal is sub 1 hour.

For the second week in a row this ******* puts off buying gunsmith orders to save inventory space, then forgets until it's too late. Stupid.

I find all three great, and they are all really balanced and fun. I mained my titan, mostly because I liked the hammer before I ever played. Here is my take on all three:

PvE:

Sunbreaker: Balanced between clearing adds and damaging boss, all at range.
Stormcaller: Great at clearing adds and generating orbs, just mows right through
Nightstalker: More of a support class in PvE, debuffing bosses and adds, then generating orbs from kills.

PvP:

Sunbreaker: Just awesome, you get to throw a bunch of hammers that slightly track and explode on impact like a rocket launcher. Yeah.
Stormcaller: With enemies bunched up, or it is one of the more corridoor-y maps it is mass slaughter
Nightstalker: Less adept at killing, but a great cancel for other supers. Three shots that kill on impact and/or tether and slow people down. Best of all, tethering people cancels their super.

At least those are my takes.

I jumped in with some friends who had an Oryx checkpoint on Friday. I was my first time doing it so I had to learn the ropes but by the third attempt I had the mechanics down. Unfortunately we weren't able to beat it Friday...or Saturday, or Sunday for that matter. The most demoralizing moment was yesterday we got through 3 or 4 rounds of damaging Oryx and had one more to go when someone accidentally left their platform early so we all wiped.

@DanH35 sorry for not being able to get you in after I sent you that invite. We grabbed a 6th of lfg after I sent you that message. If it's any consolation we got our asses kicked so you didn't miss anything.

Can I do all of the exotic swords quest on one character? I just completed the majors/crucible kills, and now i have to kill Ecthar.

For the crucible sword part, you can use the hilt of the sword as a melee you don't have to get heavy ammo. I read this after it was taking me forever, then I ended up getting 4-5 kills each game and completed it easily.
