That sucks. Even worse when(at least on the 360) it won't let you copy to a USB stick. I would have lost my Dragon's Dogma save if not for a USB stick backup.

      Dark Souls II

The NPC AI is a lot better in the dlc. Getting my *** whooped on NG++. I'm a bit rusty though as I'm way off on my parry and roll timings but they are definitely much better.

Since moving completely over to Steam from the 360, I'm tempted to pick up Dark Souls 2 again(could always trade in/ebay the 360 version to make up the difference). Too bad there isn't a way to transfer saves, as I've put tons of time into the 360 version.

DSII esentially getting a "GOTY" version next year with the game coming to next gen systems. Although on the PC side, they're splitting up the playerbase between Direct X 9 and 11. People that already own the game with cards that can't do Direct X 11 will still get the free "bonus content" the GOTY version will have(new NPC, new items) but not be able to play with them. Characters also won't carry over from DX9 to DX11, meaning you'll have to start all over. I don't get separating the playerbase at all, especially when the game has been out a bit and most have poured hundreds of hours into the game.

Im so stoked about this coming out on X1 and PS4. There is no reason to keep my 360 or PS3 now.

I guess I need to finish Lords of the Fallen before April. Hopefully, Bloodbourne will be out before April and ill have time to finish that too before Souls 2 comes out.

They mentioned upgraded visuals, so I'm guessing it has to do with DX9 not being able to handle it.

Destructoid: Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin is more than just a remaster

One of Scholar of the First Sin's most apparent changes is that enemy and monster placements have been reworked. Foes you encountered at certain points in DSII will appear much earlier, and in greater numbers.
                      ...

What's even more surprising was that the A.I. was not only improved, but the enemies of Dark Souls II had also lost their fear of Bonfire spots. They will have no qualms about chasing players down to their safe havens.
In addition to the title running at 60 frames per second and at 1080p, the texture quality and lighting are improved to give the atmosphere an extra kick. Moreover, online multiplayer has also seen a boost with a maximum of six players during engagements. Much like another upcoming remaster, the developers were also inspired by much of what PC modders were able to accomplish, and wanted to offer the same level of content boosts (like textures and lighting) to the console releases.
                      ...

"All [current-gen] versions will run at 1080p and 60 frames per second, including the Xbox One. So it is not 900p blah-blah-blah, it's 1080p and 60 FPS for all three platforms. Though some people said that it is worse to play the game on PC without DirectX 11, and the answer is yes. I'm really confident about clarifying this, because the improved lighting and shadows, clothing effects, and etc. -- this is only available on DirectX 11 technology, and not on DirectX 9."

Meh, doesn't really impress me that much. The Souls games are the only games I've ever bothered to Plat, but I don't feel like I need to buy it again. Maybe if it's got more new stuff than they're saying I'll pick it up. But, I'll probably be content with Bloodborne only.

Would have been nice if they were there in the first place.

The fact now that invasions are both NG/NG+ FINALLY means my blue sentinel or whatever will ACTUALLY GET SUMMONED TO HELP PPL. This is good. I got all the way to a late game area and never got summond to help with an invasion once.

Edit: lots of pvp now all over the place if anyone really enjoys it.

I'll be getting the remastered version on PS4, but I wish they would have remastered DS 1 as well while they're at it. Silky smooth fps in Blight town???
