Man that pisses me off. Lol. I had a poop load of stuff.

My next 2 lifes involves me spawning then getting eatin by like 5 zombies and getting shot in the head by a guy I was traveling with for about 30 minutes....

Don't feel bad I had my status as HEALTHY which is not easy to do. Had full weapons and military gear and was walking in the woods by a hill and got caught in some weird animation like I was slipping and then out of nowhere...YOU ARE DEAD. Came back a few times and died quickly. Now I've walked the entire map and all geared up but I have an illness I can't cure. I'm searching the land for more antibiotics but the screen is getting hazy and I now have the orange SICK status. So I'm not gonna make it unless I find something soon. That's the beauty of the game.

Finally broke down and bought this on Steam. Is there a certain server you guys are playing on?

There's two I usually play on. Add me to your steam friends list. Jistic.

I'll add you tonight. Played for about an hour last night. Made it to a little town, found some soda, a clown mask and an ax. I look like a bandit. Also found some water from a well but no canteen or bottle to fill up. I logged in some bushes on the edge of town. I'm guessing you're safe while logged off, correct?

Ok how do you type to global and why is every server I get into freaking night time.

You will notice there are two different servers. One is DayZ with a capital Z which is on a day and night cycle and the other is Dayz with a lower case z on the end which is a 24 hour daylight server

Yeah I think my game is/was just messed up. I joined every server imaginable and every one was nightfall. Including the ones with the lower case z and the ones that said 24/7 daylight.

I want to be playing this but my hard drive crashed.... But I'm using that as an excuse to build a new gaming rig.

After this week's DayZ standalone update, creator Dean "Rocket" Hall took to Reddit to discuss big plans for his zombie survival game in 2014. The shortlist (rounded up by International Digital Times) includes hunting, camping, a bow and arrow, and vehicles.

"Vehicles will be done based on the architecture we are doing for items/weapons now (i.e. attachments)," Hall said. "So it's in progress really. We are replacing the physics system for items (throwing, etc...) and this new middleware will be used for vehicles also."

Hall said helicopters and small aircraft will also be "important," but noted that they "should be very complex to maintain."

"Bases will take longer," he added. "Barricades will happen first."

Regarding combat, Hall said that after primitive weapons (like thrown items or a bow and arrow) are implemented, the spawn rate for high-powered military weapons will be turned down "dramatically." This change could give new players a better chance at survival.

Buildable structures could drastically change the way DayZ is played. For example, running high into the hills is a good way to avoid zombies, but it's also barren and short on supplies. If you could fortify an area and fill it with supplies, we could see more players populating what previously felt like "safer" areas.

Reading the devs comments I have a feeling when this gets to Beta the map is gonna be HUGE. Like much bigger than it is now. This feels like a placeholder map.

I've been playing the Epoch mod the last few days. Frustrating start where everyone just shoots so I stole a vehicle which was badly damaged (since repaired from materials I've come across) and headed for the eastern coast. Found a desolate road that has only one way in and out along with a water source, so I've started to build my base. I had to make a run to the trader town of the map for an "E-Tool" which lets me build wood walls; ran over 2 bandits in the town just before getting to the safe zone. Luckily if someone comes across my truck, which is hidden, the vendors at Stary sell vehicles for 4 gold bars which is manageable to get from scrounging.

Next time I play, I need to figure out how to fill the gas cans. I know I need the big white fuel tanks but its not letting me do anything in the selection menu. Oh and I have to make another long trip to the trader market because I forgot to buy matches for my fire pit.
