Ok, I just finished a part of the Bloody Baron quest, a battle with 4-5 Wraiths. When I beat them I had to use the Axii sign to calm down a certain character. Now Geralt is frozen on my screen, unable to move him, all the hud information is gone. All I can do is sweep the touch pad to bring up the map, once in there I can do things in the various sub menus but when exit back to Geralt I get the same thing. Oh yeah, each of the corners of my screen have like a green fog or vapor. I can't even press the options menu to get back to the main menu. Never seen this before. It's not like the game is completely frozen because the touch pad functionality works, I don't get it!

Any ideas?

Just reset the game & console/PC. Hopefully, the checkpoint save is after that fight. If not, you're just gonna have to redo it.

I just finished the Crones of Cookback Bog quest

and I just experienced my first "AM I DOING THE RIGHT THING HERE?!?" moment. The spirit in the tree seemed to be good, but I wasn't 100% sure. I thought about tricking the spirit but decided to start the ritual and free her. When the horse suddenly had red eyes, I was like Gob and said "I just made a huge mistake." Then the Ealdorman cut off his ear and then I thought maybe I did do the right thing, letting that spirit free because those crones are shady too. Then I get back to the village and see them in the flesh (disgusting) and felt my choice was vindicated, until they said that spirit was an ancient evil. Few moments later, I found out they try to eat Ciri and give her to one of the Wild Hunt.

Basically, I've no idea if my long-term decision was right. Short-term though, I "saved" those orphans, screwed over the Crones' plans of possibly eating them, and I shall see what the future holds.

Damn this game is good.

Edit: I want Geralt to have Johnny as a traveling partner. That guy's great!

Yeah this game is great, the visuals are beautiful and I love all the different characters.

I am SO overwhelmed by what to do right now though...not because it's difficult but because there are so many things to do. I have like 5894839 things on my mini-map right now and I just want to do them all.

Ahhhh not enough time in the day!

My one actual complaint, the action button (A on Xbox, X on PS4) does not work that well. On another note.... that botchling, mother of god that was hideous.

I haven't played much on weekdays. I'm always afraid I'll lose my entire night.

I do plan on having a nice, long session Saturday morning. I may finally get into double digits on my level then. This game was exactly what I've needed. I haven't impulsively purchased any games on Steam or PSN since I got it.

Whats the cities/towns like?
From vids they look massive and carry a nice amount of npcs.

I have some trouble getting myself to play this at times. Mostly because I don't enjoy it if I only play less than 30 minutes or so. But this morning I played for almost 2 hours and absolutely enjoyed it. Did a couple main story quests, got the rest of the griffin set, and got a sword from a blacksmith for doing a favor.

Oh, and of course a couple games of Gwent

Just wait until you start clearing an area and one spot is too high level to clear right now. Aaaah, my ocd.

The load times in this are outrageous. I die so often, and the long load times afterwards have me festering in my anger for far too long.

Teaches me to make sure I don't die. It's like a punishment. It helps though. If the load times were quick, I would probably just keep jumping back into the same fight and make the same mistakes. By the time the game loads, I've gotten past the initial rage of dying and begun strategizing for the next attempt

There are so many random high level enemies everywhere...I tried to fight a few and won most of them except against this Wraith thing at the beginning in the poisoned woods, she was level 7 or something. I got her to like a quarter health and then she peaced out.

I'm playing on the default difficulty and it's pretty tough so far. The camera angles are pretty weird in my opinion, and as someone mentioned the X button doesn't register half the time.

Didn't say it was. I was saying how I deal with it instead of complaining about something that's a very small part of a fantastic game.

I didnt call it a bad game, I called bad loading times bad. It could be the greatest game ever, the load times still annoy me.

Bloodborne didnt get a pass for its loading times, hopefully like From, these guys patch it.

Yeah it is what it is. Awesomely fantastic game; piss poor loading times.
