There it was. Options button, second to last choice. Strange place for them to bury that. Thanks.

      Re: The Witcher 3

Just got a few more minutes in. The controls outside of combat still have me a little angry but its not enough to stop me from playing the game. Oh, and just as I suspected, I've completely disregarded the story lmao!!! I strayed off the beaten path and ran across a few drowners……been fighting them ever since (they keep killing me but I'm a glutton for punishment)

I'm going to turn down the sensitivity on the controls as others have stated to see if weights the main character down a bit more. The rest of this year should be good for current gen gaming as I'll have Witcher 3, Dragon Age, Naruto, Batman, Madden 16, and Mad Max, with a sprinkling of UFC, Mordor, DragonBall, GTAV, and Forza5 for effect.

Anybody else's play time completely off?

I played the tutorial last night and another hour this morning. In total about 2 hours.

My playtime says 9+ hours. It seems to be about 7 hours off.

Your neighbor played the other 7 hours, while you were asleep.

Same here. I crafted the Viper steel sword and is awesome. I was gonna craft the Viper silver sword but I found the Moonblade sunken in the water in Velen and it's better than the silver Viper sword would have been.

This game is absolutely amazing. I cleared most of the stuff in White Orchard relatively fast and was kind of worried about the amount of content. That is until I hit Velen and realized there are like 10 notice boards. I already have more quests in my inventory than I've completed to this point.

So far, this game is slowly creeping up to Bloodborne in my GOTY race.

If I want to play on hard is there a way to regen health without using consumables? I know on hard you can't meditate your health back but I was wondering if maybe there were inns or healers/medics that refill your health for you automatically

One of the skills on the last tab regens health during the day. Not sure if it still does on higher difficulties though.

Not sure if there are other ways, but you can get the sun and stars ability. It regens your health when not in combat 10 points at a time. It goes pretty slow, but it definitely helps if you're running out of consumables

Does the PS4 version keep track of stats such as time played? I can't seem to find them.

It keeps track of some stats, but not how many times you died or stuff like that.

It does keep track of time played though. Just go to your inventory and press R2. I'm at 9 and 1/2 hours already

From what I can tell, you have to time it perfectly to counter. I think you're supposed to click it as soon as the enemy attacks.

When you're in battle, you should pretty much always be blocking (holding L2). I don't know if you're pressing L1 or L2, but the default controls have blocking as L2. If you are but still dying a lot, you need to dodge and roll as well. You can't win a fight by just countering and blocking opponents, because usually you'll be attacked in groups. Something or someone else will get from the side or behind.
