Re: The Witcher 3
I was gonna wait for the next patch but I couldn't stop playing for a week. I'm just doing side quests and clearing out the markers in skellige now before I finish up velen stuff. I get full XP in skellige."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Not really a spoiler but a question about an animal roaming the woods in Velen:
SpoilerWhat the **** is that slenderman like beast roaming the woods in Velen? He has a deer head I think but walks on two legs and is like a level 20 and kills me instantly!
The third time I saw him I ran away like a little girl.
What the hell is that creepy thing? He literally stalks you and walks slowly and is frightening!

Re: The Witcher 3
FAM,
Impressions so far:
- Incredible game. It's shaping up to be an all-time favorite for me. If it continues like this I can mention it in the same breath as Red Dead Redemption and Dragon Age Origins, SWKOTR.
- Decisions in a side quest in this game probably carries more consequences then anything you did in Skyrim. I poured hours into Skyrim too.
- Replay value is very high. Like previous Witcher games your decisions early in the game may effect which missions you get and how they play out. Side quests also effect main story in ways that may or may not show itself immediately.
- To emphasize how deep the story is, most of the spoiler discussion we have had with this game is from a couple of side quests and really the first leg of the Main Quest. Just that hand full of mission has left a impression on me.
- The story is very mature. The stuff you deal with has layers of depth to the situation. And those situations are not standard RPG quests. The facial expressions sell the desperate situation this world is in.
There are some things that need cleaning up. Combat in Close Quarters, Movement, Inventory UI, bugs, swimming controls, etc. but in the big picture it's not enough to not recommend the game.
I honestly think this is a can't miss game. I also think Vanilla Skyrim doesn't hold a candle to this game.
Thanks Chizzypoof and everyone else that responded..I plan to pick this up tomorrow.Work Hard...Pay Bills...Work Hard...Pay BillsComment

Gwent is so damn fun though. It's like the first thing I do now when I get somewhere. Check the vendors for any cards for sale. Get my quests and immediately play whomever I can.Comment
