    Re: The Witcher 3

I stopped my play through because I kept hearing the hints that 1.07 was going to bring storage. I am at a point right now that I keep finding some great Armor and Weapons that I want to hold on too, but cant carry it around.

My issue now becomes the Vendors marking up the item I just sold them by 400%.

Here are the patch notes for those intersted:

As some of you may know, we are finishing up work on our next big patch, Patch 1.07. It’s a very large update introducing some key changes, including:

A new, alternative (optional) movement response mode for Geralt.
A player stash for storing items, available in various locations throughout the game. Stash locations are marked on the player's map.
Crafting and alchemy components no longer add to the overall inventory weight.
Books are now placed in a dedicated tab in the Inventory and books that have already been read are properly grayed out.
Multiple sorting options are now available in the Inventory.
Alchemy formulas and crafting diagrams can be "pinned", meaning all components and ingredients required to make them will be conveniently marked in the Shop panel.
Dozens of fixes for quest related issues, both major and minor.
A few performance enhancements, including the optimization of FX, scenes and general gameplay.
    Various improvements to horse behavior.

Since it's been all hands on deck working to finish and release this patch on time, we won’t be publishing a free DLC this week (don’t worry - free content comes back next week). We hope you understand our decision. We’ve gathered so much feedback from you over the past couple of weeks and we want to implement as much of it as possible. The full change list for the patch 1.07 will be coming later this week. Stay tuned for info about the release of the update itself
Nice stuff, it seems to address most of my problems with the inventory system.

Level 21, just made the voyage to Skellige.

Breathtaking place for a video game. The terrain and weather are very well done. My game says my play time is 1 day, 2 hours, and 45 minutes.

I wish I knew how to tell if that's accurate or not. I feel like I've played a lot more than that.

Is there any information on finding mutagens? Eg: Monster XYZ typically yields a blue mutagen and Monster ABC a red mutagen?

I'm having quite a difficult time finding these things in general.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt mutagens guide explains how to use mutagens to enhance abilities, where to get them and what bonuses they give.

At first I didn't know what to do with the special mutagens for killing big enemies like a Griffin, Moonwraight, etc. But then I was poking around in the Alchemy menu and saw that I used them for special decoctions. Like my favorite is the Fiend Mutagen that I turned into the Fiend decoction that increases my carry weight by plenty. Very useful for when I'm out looting.

I read that article before posting, there's no info on finding them other than "killing monsters". So I guess it's supposed to be that simple lol.

I always loot every dead monster, maybe I'm not killing enough. Maybe I just haven't had much luck when it comes to getting mutagens as a looting option.

The monster specific mutagens are typically on contract/quest monsters. The red/blue/green are the regular ones. I think they are tied to the type of monsters (ie: red would be human/animals).

So should red mutagens (based on your example, regardless of if it's true or not in the game) should be pretty common, no?

The red ones seem to me to be the most uncommon at least early in the game. I just finished the Novigrad part and I'm doing side quests before heading off to Skellige. But I've found enough of the lesser ones to make Greater Red Mutagens. Definitely have a lot more blue and green ones though.

Someone made a map of The Continent and it's probably the most beautiful fan-made map out there. Also, considering all the places we've yet to visit (from Witcher 1-3), I'm hoping we get to see these places in a future game.

this game now has become my favorite game of all time. There is just so much to do, so much to see, and it's just done so well where i actually feel like decisions i made are part of the world, not just me making independent decisions to push along a story and justify my existence.

My last post I was closing in on 200 hours and now, im closing in on 400 hours. Not sure if I actually played that much or I got hit with the bug that screws up your play time.

It's been 50 days since release? Right? That's 8 hours a day since release.

I have my Xbone set to Instant On or whatever it's called and it says I've played the game for almost 50 hours when in reality I'm probably at 15 hours max.
