Currently level 8 just searching lower Velen to unlock more POI and Witcher contracts. Mainly going for a Light Armor fast attack build. Can't wait till I unlock whirl.

Whirl is ****ing bananas. Geralt twirls around like a grey tornado making monster milkshakes.

This is the first play through I've used it and I cannot stop.

Speaking of obsession, I have played the first two games multiple times and am on my second playthrough (first with the DLC) of the 3rd, but never dove into any outside material at all. I recently stumbled upon this TV series while browsing YouTube though and got hooked:

witch hunters.....I feel like doing that with most of the **** talking townsfolk. Everytime one of them says "You looking for trouble?" I just want to hit them with a shot of the ignii. Either that or give them a taste of the steel.

That was one of the more humorous parts of the game to me - you're this bad *** witcher and almost EVERYONE in the world talks **** to you.

I get that witchers are despised but still you'd think that most common folk would fear them.

In their eyes you're a freak who only kills someone/thing if you're being paid. Despite the actions you are actually able to take in the game

You meet him a 3rd time around Novigrad late game, and he brings a friend I think. You can either kill him or use Axii to save them from themselves. But you find out there's more to the story if you paid attention to his girl's name and find a note on a notice board.

Wow, never knew this exsisted. I must watch more Geralt of Rivia. Funny thing is my real name is Gerald. Watching cut scenes and as they speak his name, it immerses me lmao.

I'm trying to get to Skellige, but the game just keeps throwing quests at me. Not to mention I'm getting to the point where some of the Velen contracts I stuck a pin in are now in my wheelhouse.

So, now I'm back in Velen and wrecking some fools with one or two hits. Its a great feeling to run up on a 5 level Bandit camp and take them out in seconds since I'm 15 levels above them. Sometimes I wish they would just flee like I have to do at times. Either way its cool to use a Northern Wind bomb on a group of enemies and just brutally finish them off one by one. Or throw a Grapeshot bomb on them and watch their bodies go to pieces.

I started reading The Last Wish this weekend which is one of two short stories books featuring Geralt. I have to say the game does an amazing job of recreating the feel of these short stories and putting you in his boots.

Plus, its interesting getting the backstories on some of these situations like Geralt invoking the Law of Surprise to Duny and Pavetta with Crach an Craite in audience.

I know the books are all about Yen and I know once I get to Skellige I won't feel bad, but man this game really pushes you towards Triss. Hard.

Triss is pretty much your love interest in the first two games.I definitely want to do a play thru where I get back with Tress instead of Yenn, but every time I go to Yenn. Guess I am just a softy for the love story.

I played the second one which I guess is why her reactions affects me more when you give her the cold shoulder.


Its interesting how different Geralt is with Triss and Yen beyond the dialogue choices they give you.

To JBH3 and whoever else that recently started their first play through...

You will find better/more satisfying SIDE quests in The Witcher 3 than most MAIN story quests other games throw together. #Truth
