Lol.. I thought about this subject similarly.

Chalked up most supernatural experiences in this world as a result of magical interference that manifest in curses and other related phenomenons.

It seems as though the more traditional religious behavior in the game mirrors typical old world practices that we've seen throughout history, and while they may exploit the consequences of life in a world molested by magic, they operate on separate "spiritual" planes.

Finished my second playthrough (110 hours for base and Hearts of Stone) and am finally starting Blood and Wine after abandoning it waiting for the HDR patch during my first playthrough.

Holy cats is there a lot to do! Just got a bunch of freedom after the railroading section ends in Beauclair and I have the main quest, about a dozen side quests, and a Witcher contract.

Really enjoying the books. As if I didn't already have enough Witcher in my life...

Finished The Last Wish story collection and a good chunk of Sword of Destiny just this week. Some great stories in there, and I'm pleasantly surprised by how dialogue driven many of them seem to be.

Maybe I was expecting somethings to be lost in translation to a small degree, but that hasn't been the case at all. The banter between Geralt and company is just as dry and subtlety humorous as I have come to expect from the game.

It's interesting to have some of the main characters fleshed out for me as I make my way through a second playthrough. Dandelion makes for a funny counterweight to Geralt whenever he tags along, and some of the early Yen stories are awesome.. A much more complex relationship than I had realized.

Think I'll swing by a book store later just to have Blood of Elves ready for me on deck. I'm hooked!

Exactly what I think, I don't want to mess up anything in the game, everything just looks great in stock.

Oh come on! This section with the fables on B&W doesn't have any right to exist. I'm furious that I won't get to play this stoned.

            Best game ever.

              Haha..

I thought the same thing. Poke around a decent bit, if I remember correctly there are a few interesting easter eggs hidden in there.

Oh, and speaking of poking, indulge the Queen's sister.... Regardless of how you feel about her character, it's worth the experience.

I was sympathetic to her after this section (my favourite sex scene too hehe). Actually, I only went after her because I was mad with the duchess letting the whole town perish because of personal matters.

Detlaff didn't help me tho. He did his thing. And I did mine. Not the happiest ending.

But I loved the final hours. A lot of very tough moral choices and it branched so wildly I feel I would need an insane number of playthroughs to see all the possible outcomes. That was a great main quest.

Depressing to see that at the end the greatest thing I'm left with is Yen at home sleeping, reading books and not ****ing me. Marriage sucks.

The good news is that there are 36 different "endings" and variations on endings for you to experience, and that is just for the main game. I actually have no idea how many variations on the true endings of the whole story.

That's what I'm afraid of when starting this game. I'm in grad school, so I will be on and off when playing this game. And I feel like with such a big story, it's hard to get right back into it when you take 3-4 week breaks at a time.

While it won't be the same as playing it regularly, the in-game Quest Log does a great job of detailing the decisions and goings on. Same with the Character log (I tend to check each character as I get a pop-up saying an entry was updated). All are written by Dandelion so you get some flavor...though the rote list of objectives is still there.

I have just finished The Battle of Kaer Morhen for the 4th time.

Dam! I am not ashamed to admit that I get choked up every time. From finding Ciri to the end of the battle, it is just a magnificent story.

I know I have said this many a time. But even now in my 4th play thru, for me this is still the greatest game I have ever played. I am already laying plans for the 5th play thru.

I just got to Kaer Morhen in my second play thru, but just like my first time, I'm doing every side mission (excluding Gwent) and discovering all of the ? locations, so it'll take a while. I was hoping to get everything done by the time RDR2 releases, but it may be a stretch since I'll have the 2 expansions, too. LOVE THIS GAME!

I've been taking my time with this game. Looking to see what all of the ?'s are and currently at a Level 7. Finished the quest with the witches at crookback (sp?). It's probably going to take me a long time to finish this game with everything there is to do. Was doing ok at Gwent winning my first few matches, but have gone on a losing streak.....
