It seems everything is at this point. But I have no knowledge of or even rumor of it happening. It is just wishing on my part. With CDPR fully involved in Cyberpunk and it not even being in Alpha yet, I would say no there is not a chance of it coming to Switch anytime soon.

Agree, it's starting to click to me right now and it doesn't annoy me as much as it did a few days earlier. I came straight from NieR Automata, which flows like water, so the clunkyness was really impactful when beginning.

Good post, thanks. I'm enjoying the world a lot, to be fair, just missing some greatness in my objectives. But I'll definitely stick to it, it's a great game.

I wish I could be there when you get to the point in the narrative when everything clicks for you and your are like "HOLY @#$!"

I am glad you are sticking with it and hope you enjoy the ride and come to love this as a lot of us have.

Glad you’re sticking with it, Galo. I’m on the Bloody Baron quest line, now. Still love it the second time around. Adding on to what I said about the movement, the one thing that’s missing is an element of stealth. That’s the other thing that I’d change. Everyone immediately knows that you’re around. I’d love to be able to sneak through a bandit camp and take them out silently. Or maybe throw a rock to distract them. That’d be great for looting crates around soldiers, too, because if they see you stealing, you’re toast!

I went the other way with Dijkstra. It wasn't on purpose, but I kind of lost the thread on that particular quest due to alcohol and my wife talking over the game while I was in the middle of important dialogue...

I was very disappointed with the outcome, and there was no point in which future Dijkstra interactions helped to redeem my mistake.

                Also, his face is stupid.

It wasn't in the Baron's quest yet, although the wife's twist was a little surprising. Out to Novigrad now to see what happens.

Edit: omg, Novigrad is IMMENSE! And full of interesting stuff. Couldn't see this coming from looking at it on the map. The world alone is being able to grant a special place for this game in my heart.

Spent the whole weekend playing this, I can't stop now.

                        Spoiler

I was surprised to see I have more than 25 hours logged in, this means it took me almost 20 to start to really appreciate the game as it deserves. Every time I heard people saying it took long hours for them to get into a game until now, I called bs. Usually, if I don't feel engaged in the first two to three hours, I just toss it. Glad The Witcher is already good enough from the beginning to have kept me playing despite de sub-averageish controls. There's so many little things and great things in this game. The scope is unthinkable. It really is masterpiece material.

Im not going to spoil anything but hopefully just guide you. But make sure you do sidequests and Witcher contracts along the way. Dont get trapped in the main quest line alone. Trust me.

edit: and listen to the world around you, things matter.

I'm doing all the side quests - and loving, they're the deepest side quests I've seen in any game, they don't even feel like side content TBF, very well connected to the main plot. Kinda ignoring the witcher contracts though. Don't need the coin and most of them sound kinda generic (like: kill monster X, please). Completed two or three in Velen and that was it. Should I reevaluate?

I would. Remember you are a Witcher and that is kind of your job. Hunting monsters for coin is kind of your purpose in life. You do meet some really interesting people and consider it practice for later in the game. You can really get the hang of using potions, oils and the like on the Witcher contracts. Plus everything is really tied together and I would hate for you to miss something or someone because you passed on a contract. Although that does lead to more play thru's so there is that.

Playing on death march difficulty, I would usually approach side quests and Witcher contracts as a means to stay on par or just above where I needed to be in skill level.

Then as I was approaching the end of my time in a given area, I would go back and hit a few that I had missed, while trying to tackle as many extra points of interest that happened to be on the way.

One thing I'm doing on my second playthrough (in addition to gwent), that I completely passed over the first go around, is focusing more on Witcher gear. I'm still early on, so I'm just making sure that I buy every map I come across, but I plan on actually building out proper sets of armor and swords.

I only did this during my first playthrough in Blood and Wine, and I loved how much immersion it added to the character building of Geralt.
