Finally finished the "Family Matters" questline.

Excellent quest.

So I decided to free the children of the Bogg and the Bloody Baron ended up hanging himself as the chain of events that triggered from that decision played out.

We have so much left to do in Velen still before we start our Journey to Novigrad in search of Ciri. I am so happy to finally be playing this game. Simply an incredibly rich and rewarding RPG. I am only a level 11 and I can already say not only has this game exceeded my expectations, but I know already it will be my favorite RPG of all time. That means leaping ahead of my beloved Skyrim. The story telling and detail of every single quest, plus the living world I am in is second to none.

For me it killed a lot of RPGs. I am on my 4th play-thru and every time I go to play something else, I am always like "why am I playing this Witcher is so much better?" I have given up on almost any other game, not just RPG's, except The Show, Horizon and F1 with a little Ark once in blue moon. For almost all of last year, I played The Show and The Witcher. I have stopped buying games, because my backlog is stupid. I have 23 other games that are on my hard drive that have been started and shelved because of The Witcher.

I'm off work the week of Thanksgiving. Sounds like a perfect time to FINALLY dive in to "Blood and Wine." It's been sitting there waiting on me for a long time! Or, I may just start completely over and go thru the whole thing. NBA 2K and FIFA just aren't holding my interest, this year.

But I will still enjoy Skyrim. It is a different kind of love and more of a self adventureing type of game. I never thought the story telling in the Elder Scrolls games were their strong suit. It was the go anywhere be anyone that drew me to it (as well as Fallout 4 which I need to also finish).

I just finished the books. Incredible story.

I just downloaded the backwards compatable Witcher 2. Played about a 1/2 hour last night. It is linear, and the fighting is clunky, but I am sure the story will be top notch.


I am fully immersed in this Witcher world.

Talk to me after you're done with the game lol. I can still play Skyrim if I haven't played Witcher in a while. But as soon as I put on Witcher, Skyrim gets put on the shelf.

I said WTF and picked up The Witcher 2 for the 360 for 11 bucks.

I will play that after I finish The Witcher 3. I heard it is not nearly as immersive as 3 nor in the same league, but the storytelling is top notch and that is most important to me in RPG’s like this.

The story is top-notch. The "intro" took about 5 hours IIRC. It also provides great background to some minor characters in TW3.

1 and 2 are a little rough, to say the least. But there is a reason they got to the Witcher 3. If you are a fan, you owe it to yourself to play them and look past the rough edges for the story underneath. They are the reason we have the game we do now.

Am I the only one that hates Skellige? I like the contrast in the people from the previous places but that's about it.
