Is it bad that I never once played gwent? Not even the tutorial. I wanted to just dive into the game. What all did I miss out on?

The actual game. Finding Ciri and on was just a side quest. The real game is Gwent.

You missed out on a pretty fun thing within the game that was also a big part of a couple side quests. If you do another playthrough, focus on it right off the bat. To get all the cards you need to make sure you buy them from every merchant the first time you meet them. It's a real PITA to figure out which ones you missed if you don't.

I've always wanted a Gwent mobile game. I think I would play it more.

My time with Geralt finally came to an end.

What a journey! A Mount Rushmore game for me. My favorite game of all-time. I started the game in March of 2017 and I just finished the main quest last night. I don't know how many total hours I played. I was just lost in a world I never wanted to leave. I don't know what to do with my free time now. I'd think about the game at work, over lunch. Now, all these characters gone.... bittersweet to say the least.

(I bought the Heart of Stone DLC... so, I guess I'm not quite done, but you get my point. lol)

Agreed! Witcher 3 has set the quality bar for me so high I pop in other games and shelve them quickly. It took me three starts and stops to really get into Witcher: fear of open world boredom like Skyrim, combat that was more frustrating than fun, and even the focus on gray vs. good/evil in the decisions. Yet I gave it that third shot after a prodding from a good friend, and now all other games are ruined.

I'm waiting for the HDR patch (if it comes) on the PS4 Pro and then I'm going to do it all again. In the mean time I have all the books on my Kindle to read.

I'd love to beat the game, but I think by the time I reach 1,000 hours I will still be searching for Ciri because 600 of them will be in Gwent and another 200 of them will be looking at the scenery and exploring and then that turning into a side quest that results in 10 more side quests. I had my minimap turned off for the longest time, but I eventually turned it on, but turned everything off except for my current tasks marker and I still run into so much side activity it isn't funny. I still play this weekly and I literally might not beat the game by the end of the year. I do way too much of the previously mentioned activities to make any serious headway any night.

I'm still here as a lurker. Probably a good thing as I was a bit of a prick in the old days...maybe still am, LOL.

No. XB1X on a 4K TV. It looked pretty spectacular. "Wasted" many, many nights not making any headway in the story, rather I was wandering the countryside on Roach looking at trees, streams, and structures.
