There's been lots of pirate games on consoles, but not many of them were any great. Personally I hated the Sid Meier's Pirates remake, it just wasn't nearly as great as the old Pirates!, which also had a Genesis version which would be my favorite console pirate game.

This game is at the top of my list now. I've been a AC fan from the start and I love everything pirate based, its a little dream come true.

I never played AC before, but I am a colonial America nut which is the only reason I got AC3. I love it. I don't care about anything with conflict, but the ideas of walking around historic Boston, sneaking around shipyards etc. is awesome to me.

These AC games are becoming more like the Saw movies. Repetitive.

This one does peak my interest though.

I really want to get excited about another AC game, but I just can't. Unless this one brings something new gameplay wise, I doubt I'll be getting it when it comes out. I was so pumped for 3 and it was just kinda meh and felt tedious.

I'm interested to learn more about this game. Assassin's Creed 3 was my first assassins creed game and I really enjoyed it. I loved the colonial setting. The setting in 4 looks very interesting as well.

Id totally be in love with this game if it had nothing to do with the Assassin's Creed universe. Im tired of the whole assassins shtick. Every game feels the same because they are the same. Give me a pirate game that stands on its own feet. No need to throw Desmond and the Animus anywhere near it.

Agreed. The Animus and all that stuff is soooooo goofy.

A Pirates game would just be awesome. No need to ruin it with played out junk.
