I guess that I just think more people would pick up the Sega game in the Madden 'off year', and give it a shot. All of us at OS are different, we analyze each game and find out which one we like better. There are a lot of casual gamers out there who just pick up Madden, and I bet they'd try out ESPN the next year to get a new game.

Which is the point of my original post. It would add life (through sales) to the ESPN Franchise.

Exactly. If they didn't bring out Madden/Live/MVP/etc for one full year, they would get slaughtered by Sega.

I cannot possibly imagine that this is true for the Madden series. There is WAAAAAY too much money that would be missed if they did this. People look forward to next year's NFL video game titles as much as they do the coming of the new NFL season. If they did decide to do this and Madden was a once every two years title, God help them. ESPN NFL Football 2k* would kill them.

Wouldn't it be interesting if Sega and EA went opposite years? So for example you'd have Maaden 2005, ESPN 2K6, Madden 2007, ESPN 2K8, etc.

I know it won't happen but it's interesting.

First off I highly doubt they'll do it to Live, Madden, MVP, etc.

But, if they did then it can be done.
