I don't think I will make it to level 50! The cheese in this game makes me not want to play. It's a shame, because I loved the Beta. Oh well.I am the lesson after the fall.Comment

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
Overall, I think the game is ok. The base gameplay is fun. Outside of the things I just said, the game just feels incomplete and thin. I have no problem with them not including a single player, offline campaign, but I wish they would have put that into the multiplayer game. The campaign, itself, is a joke. It's terrible. It felt lazy and seemed like they put it in there so they could say that they had a campaign.
Meanwhile, the multiplayer core is missing so much. It's missing stuff that I expect in modern, online FPS games that include a full campaign. No clans, no leaderboards, no private lobbies/party, hardly any customization at all. They make a big deal about your Titan being yours, but yet, there is nothing you can do to make the Titan feel like yours.
I really hope they support this game. Some of this stuff needs to be added. I also hope Titanfall 2 is a better value.Comment

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
I just don't like certain aspects of the game. I think some of the burn cards are cheap. The jump kick range is extreme. Drop a grenade when you die? I thought we moved past that from COD. I can't take the Smart Pistol seriously. There are only 10 primary weapons in the game, and honestly, I'm trying to figure out why some of them even exist. The R-97, for example, is beyond useless. It has no range, and there are better guns for short range work.

I agree with jump kick distance being too far and the smart pistol.
Regardless, the game is fantastic fun.Comment

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
If anything the Carbine is slight OP, its range to damage I believe needs to be reduced. The SMG is beast in close range from the hip but the carbine out shines it in both short and medium distance. This makes the carbine the ultimate balanced weapon for the game considering the maps.
This is on PC, so there is slight differences that can affect how the game plays. First, zero auto lock so weapons take skill. I could see the smart pistol being a little OP if the autolock on xbox gave pilots to easy of a job maintaining lock on a pilot jumping around. Also on PC, traversing the environment is so much easier than xbox. I have little over 50 hours logged on PC and I played at a buddies house on X1, OMG it was a sheer nightmare trying to jump around like I'm use it. On PC, jump and wall run, point mouse at new wall, jump, rinse repeat. I can go from flag defense to flag carrier never touching the ground on many maps. This kind of movement is more difficult on X1.Last edited by Phobia; 03-25-2014, 10:37 AM.Comment

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
This is the most fun I have had with a shooter since the first Modern Warfare.
I played about 3-4 hours last night after about putting an hour in on some nights. Going in yesterday my win percentage was terrible, like 15-20%. At the end of the night now I'm at 50%.
I haven't started campaign but will be doing that this week.
I have had a variety of games in death match from close to not even close but most of them have been competitive. I was on the fence about the mechs and bots but they make the game a lot more fun and chaotic. I love how fast paced it is and how you pretty much have to be on the move. Campers beware.Comment

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
Phobia, my take on the Smart Pistol on Xbox 1 is the same as you have for the PC. I play this game a hell of a lot and I just do not see a lot of guys using it and when they do I don't see them being really effective with it. The Carbine is by far the most powerful gun in the game. I use the SMG and I love it. To me the most overpowered weapon is the Eva 8 combine with certain perks.Comment

Cheese? Wow I think this game has the least amount of cheese of any FPS I have played. Not trying to be insulting but sounds like you just need to get better.Last edited by Super Glock; 03-25-2014, 04:07 PM.Comment
