Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
I just don't like certain aspects of the game. I think some of the burn cards are cheap. The jump kick range is extreme. Drop a grenade when you die? I thought we moved past that from COD. I can't take the Smart Pistol seriously. There are only 10 primary weapons in the game, and honestly, I'm trying to figure out why some of them even exist. The R-97, for example, is beyond useless. It has no range, and there are better guns for short range work.
Overall, I think the game is ok. The base gameplay is fun. Outside of the things I just said, the game just feels incomplete and thin. I have no problem with them not including a single player, offline campaign, but I wish they would have put that into the multiplayer game. The campaign, itself, is a joke. It's terrible. It felt lazy and seemed like they put it in there so they could say that they had a campaign.
Meanwhile, the multiplayer core is missing so much. It's missing stuff that I expect in modern, online FPS games that include a full campaign. No clans, no leaderboards, no private lobbies/party, hardly any customization at all. They make a big deal about your Titan being yours, but yet, there is nothing you can do to make the Titan feel like yours.
I really hope they support this game. Some of this stuff needs to be added. I also hope Titanfall 2 is a better value.
Right off the bat I could tell that this would be a polarizing title. I understand why people love it. I also understand why others don't."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

The Bundle is a awesome deal with the price drop. IMO if you know you'll end up getting the system eventually it is a hard deal to pass up.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

My PC can handle it no problem, I'll probably go that route to avoid a divorce. Or fork in eye while I sleep....

Respawn Begins Banning Titanfall Cheaters: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/03/...nfall-cheaters
Respawn Entertainment announced it has flipped the anti-cheat switch for the PC version of Titanfall.
In a post on the official site, the developer outlined measures taken to remove those who would play less than fairly from the general population, rather than completely shutting down their ability to play the game.
"Since the launch of Titanfall, we've been collecting data on people who are cheating on PC but not immediately enforcing bans," the statement reads. "As of Friday, March 21st, that has changed and we have started banning cheaters in Titanfall."
Using FairFight, Respawn will detect cheaters and take them out of the general matchmaking, only allowing cheaters to play matches populated with other designated cheaters.
Players who are partied with a banned player will also be treated as banned and roped into the all-cheater matchmaking, allowing your cheater friend to introduce you to their nightmarish hellscape of aimbots and wall hackers.
However, that stain isn't permanent, and once you drop the party you will be free to return to the law-abiding player base. Of course, Respawn will continue tinkering with the formula to cast a wider net in the future.Comment

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
Played for the first time in a few days last night (not for lack of wanting to, just busy with other things) and really struggled. Seems every map I played was one I had only played once or twice so that didn't help.
I experienced quite a bit of framerate issues (didn't appear to be lag anyway, this felt more like framerate) for the first time last night on the Lagoon map and also had a Titan kill that the game didn't give me credit for.
Noticed some other negatives last night as well, I must of died from the drop kick 10-12 times and a few times I wasn't even in the guys line of site according to the kill cam but it still registered as a hit.
I think dropping the points scored from 75 to 25 on a defensive score in Hardpoint was too much also. I enjoy playing defense, no not camping but proper defense. I think 50 points would have been a better number.
Still think the games great, maybe because I was having a bad night I just focused on the negatives.Texas Rangers/Saints/LSU/Tottenham Hotspur

The jump kick is really annoying. I know what you're talking about. Sometimes I'm close, other times they get me from so far away that it doesn't make any sense. It feels like the crazy COD melee all over again.Comment
