Re: Dying Light
I'm loving it. Think it's a really great game. Well done, fresh. My only complaint is I wish there were some moral choices that could effect the story. In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

Re: Dying Light
I'm really liking it, but I'm still in the tutorial. It has a whole new feel compared to DI, running is definitely preferential in the early going but it helps to pick individual zombies off to level up that side of the fence (it appears your parkour abilities and combat abilities level up via use and separately. Not 100% on that though, I'm still just starting.)
Edit:
There's also a survivor tree. I really like how they are doing leveling in this one.Last edited by K0ZZ; 01-27-2015, 01:08 PM.Bulls|Bears|Cubs| Blackhawks|Huskies|Horned Frogs|

Re: Dying Light
Played about 2 hours so far and really enjoying it. I'm on PC and it runs really well for me but I did have a major crash that took a restart of my PC to fix, the game kept crashing when it tried to load my game save, after i rebooted it's worked fine.
I really loved Dead Island and this feels like a much more polished version of that game. The traversal is really fun and climbing up buildings feels like Assassins Creed but in first person. The zombies take a ton more damage now and your best strategy is to just move past them unless the mission requires you take them out.
Death is a little strange, I've died a couple of times and you automatically lose survivor points each time you die. Those points are gained by doing missions and other things and has it's own skill tree dedicated to that so there is a penalty for dying. I was in a mission where I had to kill some guys and I died and respawned at the closest safe point and when I went back to where the fight was, the guys that I killed before I dided, were still dead and the others were waiting for me so the world doesn't reset when you die.XBL: Countach

Re: Dying Light
Ok so either I suck or just can't get the running and jumping thing down very well feels a little different then most games I have played. So I am asking for some help on a certain point will put in spoilers so I don't ruin anything for people who haven't played this part yet. It's the Mother's Day side mission.
Spoilerok got the chocolate and tape gave it to Gazi. It says enter through the roof to Gazi's house. Found the catwalks it wants me to take to get above his house. I make the first jump and head through to the 2nd. I have tried this at least 5 times and miss every time while falling to my death. Anybody got a tip on how to make it? It's where the walkway has broken off on both sides and I have tried to grab the ledge on the other side but it's like there is nothing to grab and can't seem to jump far enough to just stick a landing.
And on a side note I hate the controls to this game. I wish it would let me remap all of it the way I want to. PS4 version by the wayLast edited by JoshCA916; 01-27-2015, 03:54 PM.PSN:LeftCoastGamer

I'm still in prologue so we'll see how it hoes. In this game where speed and fluidity is very important..sprint on L3 wasn't a good decision IMO.
Once I get into main game I'll post first thoughts.. impressions.Last edited by Skyboxer; 01-27-2015, 04:19 PM.Joshua:
