Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Yea it was nice, a few things I noticed so far this morning.
I noticed the looking and aiming is a bit quicker now. Set it a bit lower than whatever you had in closed beta. Attachments now tell you what they can attach to as far as the weapons you have in your inventory. Before it was a guessing game. The zoom in on scopes that actually have zoom ability is quicker now, was too slow in closed beta. That's all that stood out so far.
The new second mission with all those flame throwing cleaners was great. That Boss' flame thrower has crazy range, look out!

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
i saw this on another forum, is this a valid concern?
From all i've seen over the past days with the turrets... f 'em. I really think they need to be completely removed from the game. Really stupid seeing 12 random people all throw their turrets around an extraction only for the turrets to blast everyone in sight killing half the people while making everyone Rogue. Dumb mechanic. Cut it.
Everyones spamming them... and the counters are basically nonexistent from what i have seen.
Yah... I'm starting to worry that turrets may ruin the game entirely... are they easy to destroy at least?
And do they really just target anyone who is not in your party? That alone completely breaks their use in the DZ... they should at least only target someone who is Rogue, or non-Rogue if you are rogue... and what happens if two Rogue's fight each other??
This sounds impossible to get right, remove them!Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
I opened up the turret but didn't really get to mess with it this morning. Jare had used it a bit and can prolly expand on this more.
I'm honestly not worried about it. How about going security at an extraction point and using either shield or barrier?
I had already figured having a different loadout in the DZ minus the turret might be a viable option. I'll see for myself this late afternoon / evening after work.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Honestly the easiest way out for Ubi on this is to disable the turret in the dark zone, let the user set a dark zone ability bar and a PvE ability. No idea how else they can make turret viable yet balanced in dz
The counter for the turret is you wait it out or stay at range, it's accuracy is poor at any sort of distance. Waiting it out is easy as the battery runs out very quickly. Otherwise there's going to be this dz turret wackiness.
They need to make it so you can't make someone else go rogue by shooting their turret, and make it so a persons turret doesn't trigger aggro by stray bullets either.
Keep in mind you only pick two abilities so someone with a turret doesn't have pulse, or a heal, or a shield, etc.
I used the turret my entire time in dark zone with zero issues but I can see why people are having concerns and running into problems in the dz
Edit: or ubi leaves it the same and people just accept the dz is large scale open world war and crazy stuff can happenLast edited by The JareBear; 02-19-2016, 12:58 PM."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
On ps4 be sure to lower your mic sensitivity so it's just like party chat
Edit
Lower sensitivity setting means it's easier to chat, higher means it won't Pick up ur voice easilyLast edited by The JareBear; 02-19-2016, 01:44 PM."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Had a damn great time with ODogg last night on One. We teamed up with on of his friends and also picked up a random when we did the Hospital mission on hard. While ODogg called a night a bit earlier, it was after 3am before I finally looked at the clock and realized how late it was.
A lot of fun playing as a four man group. We ran into two griefers in the dark zone, but for the most part everyone was pretty cool, and extracted probably 40 or so items over the course of the night. Was about to buy a Specialized Military LSW and a Specialized Military Scar-H, enabling me to suppress people in gunfights with the LSW, as well as snipe them from long range with the 12x scope on the Scar-H.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
About to hop on if anyone wants to group up for the storyline stuff. May need to stop to play a Madden league game in an hour or so, but I'll be back on later.
I downloaded the PC beta for the hell of it too, impressions on that later.Comment

That was me with you guys last night. Definitely big time fun although my chat adapter on my Astro A50s has gone bad so I'm trying to figure out what to use to make it work on the Elite Controller. I've been on most of the morning running Solo and it is definitely tough and requires you to be smart. I hung out around extractions and picked Afew people off for their loot and ranked up by killing NPCs. The fun factor in this game is through the roof.

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
I've been watching video from the open beta, while stuck at work today impatiently waiting to get home and jump in on the PS4 beta, and the DZ extraction points seem much more active, and really the whole map, with NPCs. Which is awesome, and what the closed beta was missing, IMO.PSN Username = FinsUp75Comment
