Group up with friends first maybe, then go do the mission.

Maybe the people you found got the notification but didn't click down on the left sick when the request for confirmation went thru to them.

It's all pretty streamlined and intuitive.

There really is some sweet lighting in this game. My favorite is when it's snowing so hard you can barely see a couple feet in front of you. It's cool to see how the streetlights, lights from buildings, etc reflect and shine through those snowstorms. It's really a cool sight.

Then of course you have gun battles in those snowstorms. Lol. I walked into a group of 3 or 4 NPCs in the middle of one of those whiteouts. That was an interesting battle. My pulse scan was the only possible way to even see where to shoot.

A lot tougher! Every time we called for the chopper last night, we were running for cover, reloading and throwing out our turrets because the NPC would instantly start showing up and rushing. At least 5-6 Purple level enemies, maybe an Elite/Yellow level enemy or two mixed in there. You gotta be ready or else you'll get mowed down if caught in the open unprepared.

I'm starting to get a little nervous that this game is going to become nothing but Dark Zone and Dark Zone DLC. Hopefully it's because it's just the beta, but that seems to be all anyone is talking about. I loved what I played of the "campaign" in the closed beta, so here's to hoping that will indeed be a major part of the experience.

Well, for me, I played literally everything you could play in the "campaign" in the closed beta. I played the Medical wing mission, did every side mission, found every single collectible you could find, etc. Essentially the only thing new in the open beta was the first Tech wing mission. So other than that one new mission, I've already done everything in the closed beta.

That just left the Dark Zone, which I never even touched until Sunday in the closed beta, so last night was my first true foray into the Dark Zone as a whole.

I have no doubt there will be plenty to do in the "campaign". There are 10 upgrades each for the Medical, Tech and Security wings. We've only experienced a single mission for the Medical and Tech wings. There's still Security, plus I have no doubt there will be far more true missions in the full game. That. And were only playing on a fraction of the map. If you look at all the map that is currently marked out of bounds. There are a lot of sections of the city that we can't access yet until the main game.

So I'm not the least bit worried about campaign content. There should be plenty. We're just being given a fraction of a taste of all the action awaiting us.

All of the group I was with enjoyed the new mission. Problem is with the beta the dark zone is just more appealing than running same two missions over and over but I am looking forward to the main zone content immensely

Exactly. You can only pretty much do the side missions once, they don't pop up again after you complete them. That just leaves doing the Medical and Tech missions over and over in the beta. Now, while the missions are fun, I can't say I'm interested in spending the entire beta just replaying those two missions.

So that leaves the Dark Zone, where there is a LOT to do with landmarks, battles with NPCs (the Blockade is one hell of an NPC battle zone), trying to extract high level equipment, dealing with rogues and manhunts.

Plus just the exhilaration every time you cross paths with another human, having your finger ready on the trigger as you can never be absolutely certain if that stranger is about to start shooting at you or not.

First open beta DZ encounter was with 2 idiots shooting people coming out of the checkpoint. They killed me twice, but then got swarmed and died, leaving me with a nice XP bonus and all of one guy's loot which I was able to extract.

                      The system works.

DPS takes damage and RPM into account, so most of the time it's going to be DPS. Could be different for extreme close range weapons like a shotgun, though.

Another example is the weapon you're using and how proficient you are with it.

I had many weapons that had a higher dps than my blue M1A, yet because of my shooting & getting headshot crits I was doing a ton more damage with the M1A.

                            Unfortunately I hate the game.

It has nothing to do with the game, I'm the problem. I just can't play games where you have to hide, be tactical and patient. I've been playing with friends who all love it, but it still wasn't fun at all for me.

                            Welp.

Battlefield 5 should be out this year, yay.

Man the increased AI presence and toughness on top of what seems like more players together at once now than was there before just combines to create crazy intense moments

Be back in a few hours for some group action
