Almost done with the story and exploring. I hit level 30 Sunday morning (jumped from 20 Thursday night to 30 by Sunday morning with really only a day and a half of actual playing time in between), got a lot of purple when I look at my gear and weapons right now.

Just have 3 or 4 encounters/side missions left to do in Midtown East, just 20 collectibles to get (all in Midtown East except for two at the moment inaccessible echos) and just the last mission or two (assuming there's at least one more yet after the UN mission).

After that, I'll be all ready to hit the Dark Zone!

You still adventuring with that one guy who likes to say Pancake?

Are you going to start a new character?

How many characters can you have, does anyone know?

No but every day I'm keeping an eye out for a good deal on it and I eventually will...I can't believe i've already got 30 hours into this game, it's got its hooks in me like Diablo LOL

Well I was saving for the Liberator and hit 154 Phoenix Credits, but after reading some of the conversations here I decided to go for the High Level Vector. First one I rolled had a damage number of 8400. Rolled another and got it at 9154 so I kept that one, sold the other for 11000 credits. Its a nice little gun.

Well, I do have it on the PS4 and my main character is at level 30 PvE and 35 DZ, so that would be a no go, lol!! However, I was wanting to start up a new character at some point. So we can certainly team up I'm sure. I have a normal group that I play with on my main character for a squad of 4, but there will be plenty of opportunities to play together I'm sure. Just let me know when/if you get the game on the PS4.

I think what he means is rebuying the same gun multiple times. As far as I know you can't recalibrate weapons like you can with gear. Rerollong gear is basically paying credits to reroll certain stats trying to get something you need more. For instance a mask may have a +5% buff toward mobile shields, but you don't use them, but you do use turrets. You can try your luck at Rerollong that stat in hopes of getting something more meaningful for the build type you are trying to play with.

There is a certain area in the Tech wing that needs to be opened up to have this ability. Pretty sure it's called Recalibration Station and it shows up upstairs in the BoO.

Uggh come to think of it, that may be a blue print for making the gun at the crafting station. In which case you use crafting material to make it (reroll)

I put so much time into this over the last 3 days. just under 1400 kills, that stat tracker website says im 57% completion, but only level 19 as of yet. Getting and finding good gear has been a struggle. I've got some purples in gear, both of my weapons (an AR, and a marksman rifle) are blues about my level. I've been a bit irresponsible when it's come to buying things from vendors to try and upgrade quicker, presently got about $23k in credits saved up to hopefully buy the next purple AR or SMG on sale. I hate to buy it, but I'm getting too damn impatient waiting for it in drops etc.

Can gold stuff only be found in the DZ?

I ventured there briefly yesterday, but didn't really enjoy it. I was overmatched bigtime, and getting slaughtered by an agent who just hung back while the rest of us were fighting off a group while waiting for extraction was brutal. He literally just waited in the shadows while we fought it out, then it was just a bunch of explosions and he wiped out all 3 of us. Just seemed like such a waste of my time. Work hard, get some decent stuff only to loose it... meh, seems worthless.

So my question is... any tips for getting some better weapons outside of buying/crafting? Most importantly though, are golds only available in the DZ?

Sort of.

To be honest, the kid is really wearing thin on me the last couple days. I definitely feel you on the neverending pancake thing. I was teamed up with him trying to get me up to level 30 on Sunday and he would keep saying Pancake. "Pancake". Yeah? Five seconds later "Pancakes". What? A couple more seconds " Pancake". WHAT!? It was like that constantly. The damn kid wouldn't say or ask what he wanted to say or ask until he had said "Pancakes" four or five times, despite my answering him every damn time.

Then while I patiently wait when he wants to go back to the Base of Operations or do this or that with his weapons or gear, every time I start getting full of gear, or I want to take one minute to sort through the crap ton of gear we just picked up in a mission, so you know, I can make certain I have the absolute best weapons and gear that I can equipped so that my character is in peak fighting shape for future missions, or I want to sell off stuff to make room for more loot, it's neverending "Are you ready? Are you ready? Come on, let's go do a mission, come on, well, I'm going ahead and doing this encounter now, come on, where are you?" like every 10 damn seconds from the moment we enter a safe house.

I actually went and set my group privacy to invite only yesterday afternoon when I saw his account come online, because I knew it would only be a matter of time before he tried to join and all I wanted was a nice relaxing exploration of the final two zones of the map. I'm sure the kid means well, but damn! If he doesn't learn to chill it, I'm gonna just say to hell with it and block him, because it's starting to give me a headache. I don't remember him being that bad when I was teaming up with him in the beta.

And yes, I will be starting a new character at some point here.

Sweet! I can go through the story again! Haha. It'll also let me try different things. My current character is a tank. High health, damn good LMG with the every trusty Socom M1A backup. But I would like to eventually try a DPS build and maybe even a third character with a tech based build.

I'll have to add you on PS4, because I'm doing exactly the same. I bought the preorder digital gold edition on Xbox One, but as soon as I can find a good deal on gold edition for PS4 (would like to avoid spending another $100 even though this game is worth every. damn. cent.) so I can join the party over there as well.

Edit: btw this was from a few days back but I threw it up in case anyone missed it.

Also in regards to today's down time, people are saying that marksman rifles may have been ninja nerfed but it's not verified as of yet.
