Traded this in at local FYE store and they gave me $33 which is almost 3 times more than what they offer at game stop.

what an epic failure this game was...

Game was great 1-30... amazing just how bad it was after that point.

I was so into it until... well there was nothing more to do or any reasonable way to get awesome loot.

I get that some people soured on this game, but saying that there is no reasonable way to get awesome loot is a bit funny. Each week you can get good gear from the weekly targets, which is like 5-6 opportunities, and it only takes 30-60 minutes total. Matching making for the DZ takes about 15 seconds and 30-45 minutes in there can get you 7-9 gold/set pieces. The game isn't easy to navigate solo, but grouping up is insanely easy.

If this game was an "epic failure", I'd hate to see what you thought about a game that was really really bad! Lol.

Haven't played this for a while after after a terrible experience I had in the DZ after just getting back to it. Was going to sell the game but decided to keep it since it still has potential.

Why is PS4 getting the DLC a month later?

A lot of people soured on the game though. A lot.

Many didn't make it long enough to see the HVT patch go into action. The loot issues, which WERE very real, seem to have been addressed, especially with this underground DLC, but people should never have been forced go into the DZ for the best loot to begin with, they never should have happened. Pre-release they said that wouldn't be the case and it ended up being the case for a while, and that hurt the community.

There was also a time where you had one chance a week or get a 240 (the best loot at the time). This was also a pretty big mistake and turnoff. All loot needs to be able to drop from both zones (pvp and pve) all the time. If they had just developed a balanced loot drop/loot table a lot more people would probably still play. As someone else said, instead of using a dangling for motivation, it used a whip, and that turned a lot of people away too soon.

I'm glad you really like the game, but pretending the community numbers haven't taken a savage hit due to a grip of legit issues with the game that were around WAY too long before getting addressed, IMO, is a little silly. What has worked for you clearly hasn't worked for everyone, in a big way. The game has definitrly catered to one side of the fence and it seems like that side has been the minority, given the massive numbers dropoff.

                Just my perception, of course.

I like what I've been reading about game lately, it sounds like it is really moving in the right direction.

Don't get me wrong. It sounds like right now the game plays better than ever, and will improve exponentially with the underground DLC (I'm a ps4 guy so I don't have access yet)l but a lot of things that have been added recently probably should have been in place at launch.

the only other game that I bought which was worse than this one was Watch Dogs. I only buy like 4-5 games a year so not no biggie.

This game would get 6/10 from me.

Excellent post. I didn't make it to that patch because between the glitches, dark zone, lack of ways to get gear and most important lack of incentive to even get the best gear.

I still see no point of obtaining the best gear in this game.

I am not pretending that the community has not been upset with the game. I am just indifferent about how other people feel, what matters to me if I like the game and I enjoy spending my time with it. I do not need consensus or popular opinion to feel justified in playing the game. The only thing that would deter my personal interest is if the community dropped beneath a level where I couldn't find people to play with, but I have no issues with that at all.

I also don't fault people being tired of this game or moving on. The post I replied to, I only replied to it because the criticisms seem outdated with a lot of the changes that have already been made. Find good gear is almost too easy right now. Likewise with your post, most of the problems are historical and no longer exist.

My issue as a ps4 user who hasn't seen the underground dlc yet is the game has become too repetitive and there is no reason to grind for Phoenix credits. For example I have 700 Phoenix credits now but nothing to spend them on. The "quality gear" vendor upstairs at the base of operations restocks once a week but the blueprints he sells don't change.

The other issue for me is playing solo pve the missions are either too easy or impossible. I can solo the top 4 hvt missions without a problem but no chance of soloing the others because of the time limit. I logged in last night just to see if anything had changed and it hadn't.

I'll return in a month and check it out after the dlc but for now the game isn't giving me a reason to play.
