Valid concerns, and good questions. I do not know, maybe someone who frequents the Ubi forums would know more.

Maybe we will find out more in the open beta? Or maybe they will release some more announcements as we get even closer

Whatever there is, I am excited to find out.

      Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)

**** with as little time as I spend playing games (maybe an hour a day if I'm lucky) plus the fact I tend to bounce between a couple at a time, the single player alone in this will last me a long long time. I didn't even finish the beta and played (and LOVED) it every day

I've really enjoyed playing solo although I DO want to play with some of you guys at launch. I've changed my mind and will probably stick with ps4, but even if it never works out I've really enjoyed the experience of being this lone badass warrior trying to take back Manhattan, lol.

I wish the beta wasn't ending

I dont mean in setting and story but I mean in the RPG/MMO mechanics. I Destiny you could get the latest expansion, play it hard core for about 3 weeks and be done with everything while you sit and wait 6 months for the next expansion.

Now that I've got that out of the way. The game rocks. People who say the game is beautiful though I think are a little too wrapped up in the Eurphoria. The game doesn't look nearly as good as what they had been showing in videos at E3 and promos leading up to the launch of the beta BUT.. and this is a big BUT.. this might be the first time ever that I've forgiven a company for that. I do suspect though that all the awesome screen shots and in game footage they had been showing us for months now probably game from the PC version running with all the stuff cranked up at 1440p if not at 4k. I'm in the PS4 closed beta but when the open beta hits in a couple of weeks I'm going to check out the PC version and crank all the graphics up at 1440p and see just how different it looks vs console.

I can tell by the design of the actual game and RPG system itself that this game has a shot at serious longevity if they keep it up. How your skills are and how you need to find a balance or hit certain numbers in certain areas of your character to make full use some of your weapons abilities is great. I can tell the way they are doing things there's always going to be a reason for you to play, level up, find gear, craft, etc. etc.

I've seen a couple people complain about the Dark Zone and getting ganked out there. Well I'm sorry but to me that makes the game exciting and will keep it from getting stale. It brings me back to my olden days of World of Warcraft when you were out in a contested zone and you'd get jumped by 2 other people while you simply just wanted to quest. Sure it wasn't fair BUT what it did and what this game does is motivate you to get better at the game and motivate you to get better gear, upgrade your stats, etc. Case and point me, my bro RGmoney and KramerKing were getting rolled up on by dudes and probably we were loosing more fights than winning.. then we worked our way towards getting the Caduses and well, we fear no suckers now lol...

At first I thought it would be cool to be able to roll up on other people on my friends list and gank them but I understand why they don't allow it. It would make it too easy to always constantly greif someone because your friends always show up on your map so it would be too easy to find them the whole time they were on.

I see myself playing this more than anything over the next few months with the occasional break back into BF4 and the new UFC game coming out... oh and Xcom 2 for PC #masterrace lol
The graphics may not be E3 footage worthy but damn man, the lighting effect are great.

I don't think that it's anything special and I won't be missing it at all. Simply looking forward to playing the entire game solo and then see what they do with the expansions and DLC. Hope the early content gets announced when the game gets released because I hate it when it takes companies months to announce what is coming out and when. That turns me off to the game so im hoping they announce something coming out in April so I know whether or not the game will be played short term or long term.

Don't know about anyone else but what im wishing they had a crouch button in the game and take away the shadow effect on all the text and numbers because it's very annoying. Other than that, I enjoyed the Beta a lot and wish the retail release wasn't five weeks away. Oh well.
I played solo as well as group play. Solo gave me that Day Z vibe where anyone you see could be an enemy and you can ninja your way around the map. Was I ganked a couple of time, yeah but there were plenty of times where a group helped me extract/kill AI then wave and run off.

Group play gave me that GRAW tactical feeling.

I think with the whole upgrading your home base mechanic and this game being more of a loot based RPG with a variety of weapons, armor, skills, skill mods, mods for weapons and armor, crafting, talent trees and perks will help this game tremendously. Even if the story is short there plenty to do outside of that.

Thats where Destiny struggled the most.

          The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)

Destiny struggled because it asked you to do the same missions and strikes over and over and over to grind for what you wanted. Gear weapons armors skins perk rolls etc etc. That turned people off.

That's the exact same thing I'm worried about with the division. Destiny at launch was vapid. It build content over time. Division is almost destined to fall in the same pit. The fact that we don't have many details on the pve/PvP content is why I feel this way.

I'm hoping to be floored when they finally do announce these things. I have zero concerns with the character progression, skill trees and loot game that the division has to offer. The depth there does give me high hopes for the rest of the game.

Yeah thats the point im making. Seems like the way the division is going you wont have to do the bolded. Darkzone gear will be there for the multiplayer crowd while im sure there be something for the group single player crowd.

That there adds more than what destiny had at launch which was strikes.

Yeah I really think there is something for almost everyone in this game, if people just give it a chance and invest some time into it.

I believe the devs when they say free content is coming that will unlock further things to do/modes of play as well.
Of course theres a lot that isn't accessible in the beta, I'm just wondering how many story missions the main game will have, and what you do once you beat the story(please don't mention the DZ LOL). If you look at the beta, the best way to get gear is to just replay the one story mission on hard for the blue drop. I'm guessing thats the deal in the main game too, just replay story missions for blue drops until you're bored, then game over.

I think a Diablo 3 type of end game is what games like The Division and Destiny should be shooting for, but I'll be pretty shocked if The Division delivers something even close to that. I think its going to be a lot like Destiny in the sense that you chase gear, but eventually top out and its nearly impossible to find a meaningful upgrade.

If that process of almost maxing out, or completely maxing out takes months and isn't extremely repetitive and boring they might have something. I'm concerned its going to be less than two weeks for a lot of people.

I posted this before but I found this from a VG247 interview:

There’s a generous handful of each missions tied to each wing for the main campaign. There’s more than 10 main missions which are these combat focused, rollercoaster rides, more linear experiences, to balance out the complete freedom of the open world, which is a big part of the formula.
With our open world you can go anywhere. But you can also commit to a focused mission, where you can try out all those skills and stats you’ve been building and crafting. Put it to the test in one of these experiences we’ve build as the campaign missions and of course the side missions.

                    Less than two weeks?

I seriously doubt that (unless you mean less than 2 weeks for you), even I played the **** out of destiny way longer than 2 weeks (more like 4 mos). And just from the closed beta alone I find this game to be 10X more enjoyable than destiny ever was.

Like I've said before, I'm getting the gold edition and all dlc up front. Even if I only were to play this from 3 to 6 mos I'll still have gotten my money's worth.

Hell, I had over 1 day played on the closed beta alone and had no intentions of slowing down.

The Dark Zone madness that me, Jare, Hosh (Cpre5), Candy, and Hoos were having gives this game infinite replayability to me. No different than me still playing BF4 to this day. The DZ is a new dynamic that I love and I'm sure future games will copy once they see the sales numbers of this game. It's gonna be huge.

Wish I'd been able to hop in with you guys at some point. The majority of my time was spent solo or in a group of 2, but the time I spent in a full group was an absolute blast.

When it drops, we'll definitely get you in this rotation. Wanted to run a bit with ya as well. I'm sure we'll run together plenty down the road.

With a group of 4, as of right now this was the most fun I've had over any other PS4 game to date.
