Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Yeah somebody made a good comparison to Diablo earlier. It feels more like that now. I'm constantly getting new loot that is actually worth looking at. I can play for an hour and actually feel like I did something and that will keep me coming back. Before the patch I was literally just playing to get my supply drop once a month.Comment

Set pieces fall from purple veterans as well, though ive mostly gotten high ends from those guys. The sets are rarer from them it seemsHELLO BROOKYLN.

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Just doing this, I worked up to the build I mentioned earlier with 4 pc Striker/2 pc Sentry. The Striker 4 pc bonus of increasing damage per consecutively landed shots on an enemy really works well with the RPK I got this morning. Bosses just melt when the bonus damage starts to kick in, and the added 30% accuracy from the 2 pc Sentry bonus helps you land those shots to keep the bonus damage rolling.
I've got about 3 other "builds" that are half complete. I'm really looking for a couple more Predator's Mark pieces to try that out. This is where the Diablo comparison really hits home. I had so many awesome gear sets for each character in that game, and they were all viable and fun. I feel the same way now with the Division. I'm excited to run the build I have, a potential Firecrest build with flame turrets burning everything, an Alpha Bridge set with crazy talent combos on one weapon, and so on.
As it is, the base gameplay in the Division is some of my favorite since I started gaming. While not quite as good, the actual gameplay aspect feels like it did from level 1-30, where it was truly a cover based shooter. You do more damage to enemies, but they hit you harder too, so you have to utilize proper cover to keep yourself alive. I'm having quite a bit of fun again.Last edited by Kearnzo; 10-27-2016, 08:23 PM.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Would you say the game is worth coming back to for someone that hasn't played since April? I had so much fun leveling up to 30 initially, a real shame the game just petered out for me. Of course some of it was time restraints and it had to take a back seat, but I've somewhat been looking for a reason to enjoy this game again.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
First set cache I bought with phx credits gave me my 4th alpha bridge piece. Thanks for the above tips on selling and buying the caches. I think I like this more than deconstructing. I guess I gotta find another AR to go with my LVOAC to take advantage of the 4 set perk. Anyone have a good recommendation for an AR that fires similar to an smg?Comment

Yeah definitely. It's the same gameplay wise but the whole loot system has been revamped. It was all the game needed imo.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
I logged in for the first time since before the first expansion came out ... was so lost. Will have to tinker more to see if I want to continue with my level 30 guy or just wait until my friends and I start new characters together in a week or two.
PC version is $25 for a physical copy on Amazon.
Edit: was going to try it post-patch, and can't even get the game to startLast edited by mestevo; 10-28-2016, 02:23 AM.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Gave it some time today. I can only echo previous posts about the drops. One specialized and a couple superior items dropped but the vast majority where high end or gear set pieces.
Started at gear score 195, world tier 3, and just ran some intel gathering missions to re acclimate to the controls. Got invited by a couple friends who were tier 4 and by just running some more intel gathering quickly got enough drops to end the game session at 213.
A thing I noticed, getting XP again is great. You get a Field Proficiency cache everytime you gain 400k XP after level 30. That cache has 2 items high end or better and some phoenix credits.
AI seemed improved/changed/different. Shotgunners don't just rush kamikaze style and they don't OHKO, riflemen rush and flank quicker, mechanics seemed to move around more.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Yeah, one I disabled the different overlays I was able to play the game. I zerged a supply drop (probably died 6 times) and it gave me 3-4 high end items. Not sure I every had a drop of that quality the last time I played.
Itching to play more.
