I think Baltimore/DC/Northern VA would be pretty awesome. So many ways to parody DC politics and Baltimore crime.. I think that would be a winner.

Chicago will never be done because the governor of IL and the mayor of Chicago won't allow it. They tried to do Chicago in the past for GTAIV and were denied. You just can't put places in games without that city and state permission.

Likeness issues........ You can name it what ever you want to, but if it looks similar to the real thing, you can be sued, that is why they need permission. Chicago, like some other cities don't want their city associated with this series, for they feel it will hurt tourism and potential business investors.

You really like to just make things up on the fly, don't you?

As long as they use fake names, NONE of this matters, period.

Vegas would be a great location, but not great for a full game. As someone from the area, there isn't much around there. Especially when people want a huge map for next gen. I mean there are mountains and desert around the city, but the city itself isn't big enough to keep people's interest.

As a born and raised Vegas local I agree. It's just not big enough. GTA6 will be a step up im sure, theres no way it could work as a standalone city.

I'd LOVE to see it. There are some really great angles and areas that could be done. The strip and casinos is a goldmine. The ghetto neighborhoods like the east side and D street area, and Summerlin to contrast. Old Henderson (Boulder Hwy Henderson, where I'm from originally actually) would be great, Trevor would fit right in haha. Chinatown. Even Boulder City/Hoover Dam could be used a bit. Vegas is a decently diverse place. There's a lot there to be used. Thing is none of these places are too huge, and aside from those there's just a giant mass of the same suburbs. It just isn't big enough.

I'd just love to see it though, I'd probably pay 500$ for a fully decked out Vegas. Thing is that's because of the fact I've lived here forever. I just don't see it being viable for a game to most people.

Maybe in conjunction with somewhere else, though...

Vice City is definitely at the top of the list.

Just seeing how incredible Los Santos looks on this gen, I can't even begin to imagine what a next-gen Vice City would look like. It would be glorious.

If they do Vice City again I want them to something along the lines of a drug kingpin from Cuba, Puerto Rico, DR, Jamaica or something like that either fell from grace or need to avoid being killed so he came to Vice City for refuge.

You would play the first part of the game in your homeland before going to Vice City.

I'd also not want them to do Tokyo or another Asian city...let the Sleeping Dogs franchise work there

I don't think we see another GTA outside of the US. The game is basically a satire on what our country is today.

I could see them doing something with a Texas/Mexico combo. Or even maybe something with Detroit and be able to go up to Canada. I don't think we will see one centered around only a different country though, but the US's border countries could definitely be worked in I think.

FWIW. I have never once thought to myself "Man, I really want to visit Pittsburgh". I'm sure it is a nice area, I just don't think it would generate excitement.

I think you almost have to stick to true destination cities like NY, LA, Chicago, Miami, Vegas, London, etc.

I just don't know if I can handle a game loaded with accents if it is in London, but the city would be awesome. I do like some TV from the UK like Top Gear, so it may not be that bad.

So you're basing video game locales on places you'd like to visit? How was your trip to South Central LA?

You're right, there's a lot they can do with Mexico or Canada. Hell, Canada is RIPE for parody GTA style.

Anywho, if they were to go outside of the US how bout, GTA: Kingston, Jamaica?

They could do Detroit and Toronto, they're pretty much neighbors anyways. Maybe throw in Gary, IN as the ****hole city on the other end.

Where I'd want them to do? Vice City would be nice. My second choice would be some trio of European cities. Much more history and some fantastic landmarks they could use in their re- creation.
