The more i think about it, more I'm sure they'll do at least 5-6 cities in the next one, just imagine what they'll be able to do in 5 years.

New Orleans or Miami would be my votes.
Familiar with both cities and think both would work well, never played GTA before this so never got to experience Vice City.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Something that might be interesting is if they did a Texas-like setting and went to modern day Blackwater. Obviously it would be a different layout but the idea would be the same.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

Re: GTA Location(s) for next game
I always thought a game in Chicago that started in the 1920's Capone era Cars, tommy guns etc. As time progressed, so would the cars, technology and skyline. For instance, you can watch the Chicago skyline advance through the years as the game progressed. That would be cool.Comment

Personally I would like Rockstar to visit an old western frontier with horses and hunting and surly cowboys with a checkered past for their next game.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Border town like El Paso/Juarez would be awesome - drug wars, smuggling in illegal immigrants in vans, beefing with the Border Patrol, man it would be unreal. Plus add all the crazy ish that goes on in Mexico and its a WRAP.
you know those crazy mfers at rockstar would put a donkey show in it lmao!Last edited by BobbyColtrane; 09-23-2013, 09:17 AM.Comment

That would be awesome, as long as they included the ability to tame horses, and have shoot outs and stuff, and like there were hideouts, and you had to go in and take them over.Comment

Re: GTA Location(s) for next game
I'd probably go for three different cities/states that aren't linked geographically. Hawaii, Vegas, and New Orleans sound good. Have the three places connected by the story then just give the player the ability to travel between them at will on a plane or whatever. This way you can have a game world that spans a lot of the country and offers variety without having to model the whole map of the U.S.Comment

Re: GTA Location(s) for next game
Idk what I want form the new game of the future but please no Chicago and no prohibition times or anything before the 80s (I mean who could relate to any of that stuff today?). I think cities are played out in the series. Gotta be something varied like V is city and country.Comment

Re: GTA Location(s) for next game
A few interesting spots outside of the United States I'd like to see considered would be the Greater Antilles (Jamaica, Haiti, Puerto Rico, and Dominican Republic). India would be another one that would interest me. I just don't know how open people here in the states would be to playing a game in that setting. The Grand Theft Auto name would probably make that a non issue. Russia would be my third choice. Bring a cold weather element into Grand Theft. Give us snow! Paris would be fun also.
Chicago would be cool but Watch Dogs is set there I believe. No clue if that would matter to Rockstar or not. The state of Louisiana could provide an interesting backdrop with interesting story lines.
My first choice would be Rhode Island of course. Could fit the whole state in the game with ease on next generation consoles. We have everything here. Only negative would be Providence is tiny for a city area to play in. Maybe do Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, and throw Montreal in there too.
I also wouldn't mind going back to Vice City. But at the same want something completely different after revisiting past areas already with the last two in the series.Last edited by areobee401; 09-23-2013, 08:22 PM.Comment

Re: GTA Location(s) for next game
As a born and raised Vegas local I agree. It's just not big enough. GTA6 will be a step up im sure, theres no way it could work as a standalone city.
I'd LOVE to see it. There are some really great angles and areas that could be done. The strip and casinos is a goldmine. The ghetto neighborhoods like the east side and D street area, and Summerlin to contrast. Old Henderson (Boulder Hwy Henderson, where I'm from originally actually) would be great, Trevor would fit right in haha. Chinatown. Even Boulder City/Hoover Dam could be used a bit. Vegas is a decently diverse place. There's a lot there to be used. Thing is none of these places are too huge, and aside from those there's just a giant mass of the same suburbs. It just isn't big enough.
I'd just love to see it though, I'd probably pay 500$ for a fully decked out Vegas. Thing is that's because of the fact I've lived here forever. I just don't see it being viable for a game to most people.
Maybe in conjunction with somewhere else, though...
I can't help but think they could and should have gone with a second big city in GTA V for sure, especially when San Diego rumors were flying about. Of course, that's partly because I lived there for five years myself, so of course there's bias.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
