I think my character is gone, or at least I can't log on at all. Been getting plenty of invites from people, and can't connect to any of them. A message said there wasn't any save file to load or something.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
Two of my friends/crew members players have been wiped after logging in after getting the "cloud servers are not available" message.
I logged out and tried logging back in and received the message but didn't push out of fear of forcing a character wipe since my file is Rank 31, 228 thousand dollar apartment, three cars with bullet proof tires and Armor, 100 stamina, 100 shooting, 100 driving, and almost all unlocked weapons and attachments.
This is completely ridiculous and I'm really starting to wonder if Rockstar didn't just hit the restart button and wipe all characters due to an "exploit" in the ability to replay missions (which is not an exploit just a poorly thought out game mechanic by Rockstar).
I find it extremely convenient how quickly and efficiently they patched in a block to replay missions which shows me how high they had that on their priority list. Yet apparently the patch didn't fix what they promised seeing as people are still losing their characters, money, etc.
I'm disappointed that it seems they can't fix the servers to benifit the players, yet they are right on the ball with making getting money in game tedious so you HAVE to purchase game money to really have a chance.
I don't know about you all but something smells fishy here. I'm getting that EA vibe right about now

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
Forgot to mention that the above happened in this last hour.
My abvice, don't touch your gta online at all until tomorrow in hopes it isn't a game wide wipe or a wipe bug.
I hold out hope (though very little) that this may be a temporary bug and we can all get out characters back.
God knows I've spent more time than I'd like to admit and pushed my xbox 360 to its limits to get where I am and I don't think I have it in me to go through all that again.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
That is just fine, I agree. However for that to be their FIRST priority when this game is absolutely unequivocally broken.
I've pumped 48 hours and possibly even more than that playing this game.
I'd also like to mention that I didn't take advantage of the "exploit" either. Everything I got was from races, armored cars, gas stations, bounties, etc. With missions from time to time.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
Finally got to play a mission with someone.
He was a random guy, but it was pretty fun. Hopefully I can get in with some OSers soon.
Then I get kicked by other players for some reason. That's the third time it's happened and it's becoming ****ing annoying. I shouldn't have to back all the way out of online because some little kids.
It also keeps telling me I've quit a mission and am becoming a bad sport. I haven't quit anything.Last edited by AUChase; 10-06-2013, 10:40 PM.Comment

I attempted to shoot the bottles behind him to get him to hurry up and realized I was out of ammo. He then proceeded to call me a stupid american and killed me.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
Are you able to access your custom car each time you log on and play??? Just curious because I just logged off for the first time and wondering if it'll be there when I get back on.Patrick Mahomes > GodComment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
Couldn't log on all day. Frustrated.
Had avoided all the difficulties but I'm scared I've lost my player. Checked on social club and my stats remain but the characters mugshot (when lined up next to Trevor franklin and Michael) I just a blacked out head.
Is that normal or is that a sign that I've lost my guy??Comment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
I was able to before, but only logged out and back in twice. If it's working well it will keep your modded car, but buy insurance and a tracker to keep tabs on it.Comment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
If it has a tracker and insurance than yes it should be there everytime.
The only time it wouldn't is if it got destroyed or impounded.
If destroyed - Call the insurance company on your phone through contacts (forgot the name of the contact) and they will replace it.
If impounded - You'll have to find it at the impound lot and either 1.) Go break it out yourself and it will be available again. 2.) Just wait til it gets destroyed by the impound lot (if so follow steps from it being destroyed).

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
There are several ways to make money without having to buy anything....sure you don't make $100,000,but doing survival missions and getting through wave 10 nets you $20,000...do this 5 times and looky there....$100,000....imagine that.
Selling cars is another option....the only way I can see people complaining about feeling like they "have" to buy game money to have a "chance" are those that want everything handed to them from the outset, and don't want to "work" towards getting money through missions, races and other odd jobs.
Kinda like how the Battlefield series has done with BF:BC2 and BF3.....they give you the option to "buy" all the unlocks...instead of earning these things through natural progression of the game.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment
