I tried to get in 3 times, created my character once, not sure if it saved, never got into the actual game.

I tried to get online for the PS3 version but won't let me so just went back to the story mode will try again later.

I'm happy that I can actually get online with GTA V, now if I could just get off the infinite Waiting for other players screen at the first race

I got in around 11 after 7 attempts, played for a few hours. Relogged, character didn't save

My character at least saved, but I still can't get into the first race. Just "waiting for other players" until I get kicked off for being idle. Been waiting over a half hour.

Edit: This whole online system seems silly to me.
1. Why do we have to do a tutorial to learn how to race when we didn't need one for when we raced in offline mode?
2. Why do we have to learn how to play online while racing with 10 real people? Why can't we just do the tutorial on our own and then get into playing online?

Oh how I remember the "waiting for other players" bug in GTA IV. I think I wasted about 50 hours watching that screen as my brother tried to join the game. Hopefully this is just a first day thing.

I just created my character, but I got disconnected as soon as I finished. "Failed to host a game" is what I think it said. Just going to play solo until whenever things are fixed.

I've had 0 issues so far, I probably made the mistake of logging offline as I'm waiting for a friend to get home from work. Hopefully once he comes we have no issues getting back online.

How easy is it to join someone else's game, anyone get that far yet?

It's a wrap for me now. Earlier I had no problems but now? Terrible MP launch and I will accept no excuses. Ticked off to say the least

I don't understand this it has me walk into the circle, then says "alert: failed to join Job or Activity. Return to GTA Online." Then it says "Alert: There has been an error joining a session. Please return to Grand Theft Auto V." This has been going on for about an hour.

Any help would be appreciated!
