For WT vets....You're in for a treat!!!!! Things I've noticed.

* 70,500 fighters on line!

* Graphic improvements. You will notice subtle changes.

* Improved plane controls

* New Maps!

* After finishing a US team battle, earned enough points to purchase a Japanese Ki-102 otsu!

* L2 now opens your Research Tree

And I haven't even touched Ground tanks yet!

I downloaded the EU version with my fake uk account. I have been playing on my US real acct. do I fire up the game on my US acct to update it? And how do I know I am on the US servers? Thanks guys.

Probably give it a shot this evening, any beginner tips or gotchas? Should I / shouldn't I go out and buy the first plane I can unlock/afford, save for certain things, etc?

I fear telling people what to do in case something goes wrong so I'll tell you what I did since you seem to be the same as me.

Log into your US account. Delete the game application. Go to PS Store and download. After install Go and KILL, especially someone named justin bieber!

Stay within a pack. There's strength in numbers. Learn to fly and get use to it. You may want to try a custom battle by yourself. Careful about spending golden eagles. They're precious. Upgrade your planes and upgrade your crew within the nations. It will help your plane's overall performance. Try all of the 5 countries. Each are different.

So you deleted the EU version & downloaded the US version. I thought we could just update the EU version? By deleting the EU game app didn't you lose all your progress though?

No. WT explained what we needed to do. You're logging into WT server's with your US ID and password. Your profile is saved that's all that matters. We are all now on 1 server. You don't want the EU version. You want the US version. You can't purchase anything.

What is the learning curve on this game? Is it easy to pick up and play? Similar to Warhawk? I downloaded it yesterday but haven't had much time to really sit down and play it yet.

Recorded 7 kills in my first match last night. I was feeling OG. Then I went to sim. Attempted the tutorial roughly 25 times. Could not get the plane off the runway without skidding out or flipping over.

Had flashbacks of BFBC days and decided to call it a night.

I need to play with the controls a bit as they felt funky. I would invest in a flight stick for this game but will wait and see how much my friends list plays. Was a bit boring running solo.

Screens are jammed with a lot for someone who has never played.

Couldn't figure out if there's audio chat or text only.

Played arcade this morning, very fun game.

I only seem to get about 3 to 5 kills before I've lost all 3 planes and can no longer continue.

So many questions, subscribing now so I can read up first.

I was wondering if any of you using the DS4 to play wouldn't mind sharing your exact settings/setup?

I really do love this game, the controls and visuals just feel good. My problem is that I get shot down pretty easy and end up going through all 3 of my planes fairly quickly.

I've watched some streams on the PS4 and some of the dogfights are amazing. The communication is top notch as well.

It's the type of game that I want to get real good at, but I can see it requires time and patience.

LOL...And to think the 1.41 version is so much better than 1.37. I love it. Oh, a tip..If your wife or significant other tells you that your muttering in your sleep "I Can't shake him", or "There's a hole in your left wing", it's time for a break...

Boltman, when WT went cross play with PC users, we're now in a world of hurt. Don't get me wrong. I've actually have had success against them and my fear that we won't be able to challenge them is now debunk. We're facing pseudo-pilots from all over the world who have been at this for a long time. When you shoot a captain or major down I guarantee you'll dance the jig.

Back to being serious. On your screen when highlighting a plane press the x key and look for crew in your pop up window. There are areas where points have been given to you from your activities in combat. Assign these points to areas of your pilots awareness and stamina, tail gunners fire accuracy, and or your weapons reload and maintenance. You will notice improvements in your performance and in the planes performance too.

Check the scorecard during battles. Especially after you've been in combat for awhile. Note which of the enemies are at the top (Usually a top plane killer) and who are just bombers (going for ground units). Learn who your enemies are. Voice chat with someone that your friends with if playing together and work together covering each other. I face them all the time. Watch for the trick where they have you follow 1 up while the other plane peels you like a banana. There so many tricks that I'm still learning of.

Are you using all the countries or just 1? What's your PSN? I'll add you.

As I mentioned, the cross play with the PC environment has been received surprisingly well. I recently added tanks to my German team and have participated in tank battles. I've been getting my butt handed to me but its expected. I just recently got my first kill with my old battle wagon. Love it, but not as much as the aerial combat. And just think. They're currently in beta with planes and tank battles together. Soon, naval combat. Then, maybe marines? Oh, baby!

I'd love to get in a party and play a bit with you to better understand this game. I soooo want to get more proficient at this, it isn't even funny. Something about this game intrigues the heck outa me.
