It'd be cool if you could create with with different fidelity based on the area you scanned and the area you flew over / explored.

Nice to have a game for download that doesn't take up 50gb.

What does this mean? Can you run into other live players randomly? And explore together?

lol for some reason I get a kick out of reading about how some dudes start on a lush paradise and other dudes start on a frozen extremely hazardous hellhole. This game sounds so great

Cranking it up and excited to see the planet I start on...... Hoping for an oasis with half naked alien hotties.....will probably end up in the worst environment possible with Rosie O'Donnell looking aliens asking for credits.....

One of my friends on Twitter said his first planet was super toxic like the Glowing Sea from Fallout 4. Wonder if anyone has had to restart because it's so inhospitable.

It sounds like it's worth at least starting online for the great patch and any future updates as well.

As far as playing online I really don't think you have to worry about people ruining your experience at all, you probably will never see somebody. Sean straight out tweeted that "this isn't a multiplayer game" in any tradition sense of the word. If you're online you can upload your name changes and discoveries to the server

I'm going to try and stream when I get home. Not sure how long I'll be able to play, but should be on around 4:30 est. I'll post in here if I get it going.

Theoretically, yes. But with over 18 quintillion planets supposedly, and I don't think the game identifies players separate from NPCs, I think it's highly unlikely that you'll find anyone soon.

The planets are also huge, so you could be on the same planet with dozens of other people and never know it.
