Re: No Man's Sky
The second vid is up, 26 mins of gameplay on his starting planet.
Spoiler
I watched the first 7 minutes, up until he dug a hole, then fell in the hole, and there was something jumping around down there. After that I bounced. I have seen enough. This is the game for me. This game will own my soul.
I love how he was spawned on a hazardous, hostile planet. He was constantly repairing his stuff right off the bat. That sgreat
Someone build a time machine and transport me to release day, pleaseLast edited by The JareBear; 07-29-2016, 04:02 PM."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: No Man's Sky
Some more thoughts on the long gameplay vid
Spoiler
Seems like its gonna take a decent amount of time to get of the ground, which I love. I know CAMP eluded to that in his impressions, definitely seems accurate. Dude in the vid played for about a half hour and it seems like he still has an hour or to go before he is gonna be able to launch, which I dig, a lot.
The crafting menus seem pretty intuitive and easy to use. Everything seems really fluid. I told myself I wasn't gonna watch anymore but I kind of want to see him take off, just once....uhhhh I have no willpower.
So all these things he has done to the planet are going to RESET once he leaves, it right?
The music in the game is cool so far but I think I am gonna turn it down and have my Spotify playlist goin the whole time
I actually like the planet he is on, hope I am able to find it in my journey

SpoilerNo, everything you do is saved for you, but if someone else finds that planet it will be pristine.
Also, every time I see Emeril being mined I want to yell "BAM!"

Re: No Man's Sky
"It is pretty much exactly what I expected and is playing almost exactly like I hoped it would."
I honestly think anyone who is on the fence or unsure about the game should watch the long clip and ask yourself, afterward, if you see yourself doing that for hours on end. The long vid shows a little of everything, hes on a pretty active, somewhat hostile planet is doing a lot of crafting/surviving/exploring for a first planet, at least.
The game looks to be exactly what I hoped it would be. I am gonna get lost just going around and around exploring and analyzing everything, trying to find everything I can for the first time
It looks like it takes some certain aspects of games like 7 Days to Die and Don't Starve, stuff like that, aspects that makes those games so great and addictive for guys who like that genre, and combines it with this wonderful exploration engine.
I couldn't be more pumped.Last edited by The JareBear; 07-29-2016, 04:41 PM."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: No Man's Sky
Good to hear, guys.
And I'm not sure why Sean Murray seems upset that people are watching the videos. I mean this game was in development for what? almost 4 years? And to be honest they've told us very little. Yes the basics have been covered many times, but I don't blame people for wanting to see it and decide if they would want to buy it.
I would have thought he would be excited that the whole freaking world is talking about this right now.Comment

Re: No Man's Sky
After watching the vids today I think it is clear, to me, that a lot of people are going to want Co-op. I am sure someone is gonna find a way to somehow meet their buddy. It seems like it could be a lot of fun running around with a buddy.
I dunno, maybe it is just me, but for most of the long vid I just felt the game was screaming "great to play with a friend on a mic""Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: No Man's Sky
I've been as pessimistic as anyone and I'm certainly much more interested after seeing a few minutes of the longer video. Inching towards a day one purchase, especially since with Steam i can get a fix and refund it if it ends up not working out.
