I agree with you, almost word for word.

A solid 7 for me after 12 hours so far. Really cool little game, I think there are a couple tweaks they can make as well as maybe 4 things they could add easily to make it an all time legend game.

I completely understand why anyone doesn't like the game, it is an acquired taste for sure.

I have more thoughts I wanna share but I wanna play a solid 25-30 hours before I definitely decide how I rate the game

Yeah, that's probably why you couldn't sell ship inventory. If you're too far from your ship you also can't transfer inventory to it.

If the structure you go to has a landing pad and you're away from your ship, you can use the computer panel next to the pad (with a bypass chip, those are crafted easily) in order to remotely call your ship.

With the lack of game demos now, PSN and Xbox should really add a refund policy similar to Steam's.

Sometimes you just have to play a game to know if you like it. A two hour refund policy would be a nice little perk to entice people to go digital.

I agree, would definitely make me rethink going digital or not.

The main thing I take away from this game right now is how cool of a door this game opens up for the future.

Imagine a Witcher 3 or Mass Effect story combined with this engine, or destiny combat with this engine.

I think this game is a super cool first step into a hopefully super bright future for games

I thought this game was a perfect template for Destiny's future. Even when it was first revealed. Mass effect as well.

On its own it's just missing the lore and commitment to characters that I like in games. Nowadays I need strong plot in a game to keep attention or a strong PvP. Hard for me to get into this games exploration when it just doesn't culminate in anything rewarding imo. Like building standing with a intergalactic faction, or crippling an economy on a random planet. Discovering lively cities and civilizations, cultures, story's, plot, anything to get invested in. I just haven't seen these things in any gameplay I've watched/share played.

So much potential there but it will have to be seen if it's realized by Hello Games or by other studios like Bioware or Bungie.

If I buy a new ship, do I lose all the inventory on my old ship, because I have about 9 warp cells right now and don't want to lose them haha

Are you PC guys using a controller or mouse/KB? Flying with mouse/KB feels weird to me, I might switch to my wired 360 controller

What sensitivity are you guys using?

I figure they will either end up selling expansion packs for NMS or selling the code they used to build the game and walking away from it while someone else uses it as a starting place for a bigger game.

You can transfer cargo before you purchase the new ship while you are in the compare screen.

Quoting because my thoughts are kind of a piggyback..

I don't own the game, but after playing a bit on someone else's console, watching videos, reading reviews, and seeing OSers post pictures and impressions I'm still left asking "What the hell is this game ?".

I'm not enough of a space and exploration enthusiast to get my money's worth just exploring and snapping screens. I also hate the inventory and menu system. I just don't see a worthwhile payoff for all the work spent scavanging planets.. maybe I'm missing it ? I may pick it up one day down the road, but I have a busy few months coming and I don't see myself playing it enough to go out and speend $60.00 on it.

This style of exploration tied into Mass Effect Andromeda would be pretty cool. That game is a day one purchase for me all ready.

Some people will not like this game. I believe it requires a certain type of personality with an imagination that can fill in the gaps to make the game worthwhile and fun to play. This is my kind of game.

You lose fuel that's already your hyperdrive, thrusters, etc but you can transfer all cargo over that you want to keep before finalizing the purchase.

I've never had a problem transfer goods to my ship due to proximity. I have had issues transferring from ship to exosuit because of proximity though.
