Hmm. Well, I know I needed it to unlock something, but maybe it was one of those "Damaged Machinery" things you find at distress signals. I could be mistaken about it being drop pods.

The bigger refiner is clutch. I didn’t have any cobalt and there was none near a drop pod but I was able to jet back to base and refine some marrow bulbs and oxygen into ionized cobalt. It also cost no fuel to run. I’d get that ASAP if anyone doesn’t have it yet.

Where do you get the Blueprint for it?

Also, I love ancient data site thingies! I've found two of them on the same planet, I've now got 20 navigation data items sitting in my exosuit inventory.

I'm assuming it changes, because the drop pod I found only had three damaged sections, and besides needing one antimatter, the other needed ionized cobalt. The first section was I think oxygen.

Edit - Found another drop pod. Requirements are 1 Antimatter, 45 Sodium Nitrate, 40 Oxygen and something like 25 or 45 Ionized Cobalt.

So most of it may be the same, it's just one thing may be different. You get Chromatic Metal, I get Ionized Cobalt.

Quest line I’m guessing. All I did on one play session was quest line stuff and I unlocked a ton of stuff.

Found that out myself last night.

I never ran so fast to the ship. Was actually able to circle them and kill them! I say "actually" because I have a hard time just flying with these controls, let alone shooting things at the same time lol.

Did a mission from a trading outpost where I had to steal info from a computer. It's just basically breaking into a manufacturing facility and getting to the computer. But when I ran out, I ran into all this!!

Well, I like ruins. A little flying, a little ancient key collecting and I was rewarded with a Case of Celestial Silk worth just shy of 700,000 units, and others have said they've gotten stuff worth millions, as it's all RNG.

Man, after getting used to the silky smooth movement and control of a fighter, my new hauler SUCKS to fly.

I had to make a trip to the space station to sell a bunch of stuff as my suit and ship inventories were full and I found more whispering eggs. While there, a B-class hauler landed that had a great shield bonus and 29 slots, compared to the 17 on my fighter, so I outright bought the hauler so I could have both a fighter and a hauler, plus my fighter was loaded down with essentials like magnetised ferrite, condensed carbon, uranium, ionized cobalt, Tritium and Chromatic Metal. So doing a swap wasn't an option.

Loaded up the hauler with the inventory from my fighter and headed back to the whispering eggs. Good lord that thing is a bitch to keep flying straight without wandering all over the place, especially while using pulse engines.

I wasn’t a fan of the hauler I got up and running yesterday either. How do we trade in ships? Can you only do it when purchasing a new ship?

when you bought the hauler what happened to your fighter? Does it stay at the space station?

It was still sitting at the space station while I was there. I was able to jump into both ships, with it displaying a message that my primary ship was changed. But I didn't make it back last night before calling it a night, so not sure if it's still there after leaving the station and turning off the game. I'll find out today when I get on, do my quick harvest of whispering eggs and head back to the station.

Thing that sucks is sometimes they chase you into space and they don’t give up so you can’t enagage your warp drive. Anyway, the main thing I do now is land again. I need to upgrade my multi tool. I have a B version but its just a pistol and I want a rifle.

Any ship you are not using should go back to your freighter. Until it’s full anyways.
