As far as how AJ can just pick up a gun and get busy....well first off it is a FPS and there is no time for character development. AJ's father was a huge part of the Golden Path and it is in his blood to be like this. I am digging the history of Kyrat, the whole fascist government angle...it's great IMO. Plus choosing which Golden Path leader to side with. I did her first two missions (getting the intel and then defending the temple) but now I want to pick up his mission and see how that goes.

But the most important thing is what your able to do in this game. The region of Kyrat is alive, gorgeous, mysterious, and full of life and things to do. Even more so than FC3.

I have not even scratched the surface! Also I went to the FC3 driving controls. So happy they kept that as an option.
Thanks man for the reply. Greatly appreciated, I'll have to give FC4 another try.

You won't regret it, I've logged over 60 hrs before completing the story.

Between the random pop ups driving along the road, hunting, exploring, jumping off cliffs wing suiting all over the place, it's been one hell of a ride and I still find my self playing it everyday.

I finally got around to popping this back in today. I liberated an outpost, unlocked a few towers, and just screwed around for a bit. I had a lot of fun, I think I'll hold on to this one. I think instead of letting myself get overwhelmed with all there is to do on the map, I'll just do whatever and be in no rush. If it takes me months to finish it, so be it.

And man is it fun to liberate an outpost while riding an elephant. The enemies had no chance, lol.

That is exactly how I played FC3 and it took me over 4 months to finish the game. I would just play and do whatever came my way and just took it all in.

Hell I am still playing Skyrim and have not finished the main quest or Dark Brotherhood or any of the DLC. 235 hours plus logged.

That is the beauty of those types of games. Play at your pace.

I need to throw a big **** you to the developers for making the mission "killed or be killed" impossible to finish. I have tried it 20 times, and I give up. I'm playing on easy as well. It's the hardest mission I have ever played in 20 years of gaming. Thanks for letting me finish the game.

Which one is that again? I beat the main storyline on hard so it has to be doable maybe you just need to try a different strategy.

We were snowed in, so I finally sat down and beat the game over the weekend. I was at 70 hours and there is still plenty to go back and do. I took my time and enjoyed the experience. Kyrat is such an awesome place to explore!

                  Re: Far Cry 4

Started playing again after completing Dying Light. I had only played 5 hours before and logged in some good hours over the weekend.

There's so much to do in this game it's insane! I don't plan on playing the single player portion of Hardline so this will be keeping me busy along with Hardline and The Show. Amazing game.

Quick question, is any of the DLC worth a buy? I still have a lot to explore and do, hopefully there's a price cut on the DLC down the road when I complete the main portion.

Just downloaded the Valley of the Yetis. Haven't had a chance to play it yet, but it's there waiting on me. It was right at $15, so I hope it has some length to it.

That one is definitely one of the hardest missions in the game. My advice on it would be to go through it verrry slowly. Stealth is your friend on this one, because there are just so many enemies and it's such a long mission. Didn't think it was EVER going to end! It's beatable, but it's also extremely frustrating.

Sleeping Saints was the mission that was almost my undoing. I swear I worked on that mission for 3 days.

That one was a nightmare, too. I'm glad that no one was in the house to hear me when I was playing those 2 missions. The girlfriend probably would have questioned her decision to be with me!

Hadn't played this in a few months so I decided to start over and really take my time on this playthrough.

To add to the difficulty/realism, I'm playing on hard with the reticle, detection meter, minimap and spotting completely all off. I'm also not allowing myself to fast travel at all to increase the likelihood I stumble across random stuff on the road. Having a blast so far.
