Re: Far Cry 4
On mission 29 on the main campaign. Over 96% complete. Had a few questions for those who finished the game 100% or at least did the following -
-Shangri-La
I did three of them but can't seem to get to the final one which located next to Min's fortress. Anyway to get to this or is it a part of the final four missions in which once I start, I can't go back?
-Kyrati Films: Racing and Survival
I have all 18 icons on the map for both of these racing types. Problem is that I have one left for each but don't remember which ones I did or didn't do. I don't want to go through all of them again just to complete both side quests. Is there anyway to tell which ones I completed and which ones I didn't?
-The Arena
Anyway to get a lot of XP so I can get to level 10 quicker? I'm already on level 5 and trying to unlock the gun in the shop that's connected to level 10.
-Royal Vault III
Is there anyway to get the treasure chest that's inside or is it connected to one of the final four missions?
And finally, when does the last side quest for Kyrat Fashion Week, Hostage Rescue and Bomb Defusing show up on the map?
Reason why im asking all these questions is because once I start the next campaign mission, I can't go back and I like to everything else completed before completing the story campaign as once im done with that, im not going back to play the game. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.Comment

Re: Far Cry 4
Holy crap I'm so into the map editor side of this game now. I feel extra stupid, cuz i didnt even notice the words on the right side of the screen. Its like playing a whole new game.
I love Forge on Halo, so this is right up my alley

Re: Far Cry 4
Finished the game yesterday with the "bad" ending but I looked at the other endings on YouTube as I didn't have a manual game save. Overall, a very good game and I enjoyed it very much. 100% completion in over 77 hours on normal difficulty.
My review (playstation 4) -
Graphics/Animations/Character Models/Environments - 9.5/10
Overall, the game looks great with the entire environment and surroundings very detailed and full of life and wildlife. Animations and character models were excellent as well. Only negative is that there's a good amount of pop-in/pop-up in the distance but it's a minor negative in my opinion.
Music/Sound Effects/Voice Acting - 9.0/10
Love the music in Far Cry 4 just as much as I did in Far Cry 3. Always fits in with what's going on in regards to missions, side quests, etc. Sound Effects were also good. Voice acting was excellent with Troy Baker (Pagan Min) stealing the show even though there should have been more of him in the game. Some minor sound problems when dying and coming back in your safe house or fast travelling to one as some of the sound effects wouldn't register like when you open/close the door to the safe house but fast travelling a second time solved the problem.
Gameplay/Camera/Controls/Computer AI - 9.0/10
While the FPS genre is my least favorite genre that I play, I love this franchise. Camera is solid once you lower the sensitivity as I lowered it to 5. Controls are good and driving is better with the Far Cry 3 setup. Hated the auto drive addition as there should have been an on/off option for it. Also, the on/off option for the touchpad bringing up the weapon wheel was glitched and you had to turn it on and save and then turn it back off and save again in order for it to stay off for your current gaming session. AI was pretty good, especially the animals as they were aggressive as hell and I was only playing on normal. NPC AI was bad as they would get run over by other NPC AI in cars while driving. Gameplay itself was excellent and if you've played Far Cry 3, you should feel right at home. The grappling hook was an excellent addition in my opinion as was the gyro-copter. The hunting and crafting was excellent. The skill upgrades were good as well. Overall, equally as good as Far Cry 3 in my opinion.
Story/Characters/Objective Variety - 8/10
I enjoyed the story but screwed up the end as I received the bad ending when I should have went for the good ending as after watching it on YouTube, I realized that made the story better. Also, seeing the different endings with Amita and Sabal showed me what Pagan Min tells you at the end of the game is the right decision. Characters were solid with Pagan Min being the best but no character matches Vaas from Far Cry 3. The Fortress bosses should have been better then what they were. The other side characters were decent but unspectacular. The Pagan Min character and the endings save the story in my opinion. The mission structure in regards to variety was very good as I was never bored or turned off. I was always looking forward to the next objective.
Extras/Side Quests/Collectables - 9.5/10
Saying that there's a lot of stuff to do in Far Cry 4 would be an understatement. From assassinations to bomb defusing to hostage rescuing to hunting and crafting to random events happening to burning posters of Min to racing to treasure chest collecting to notes and journals to areas being discovered to outposts to radio towers to so much more. Granted, the majority is from Far Cry 3 with some stuff from Watch Dogs and AC Rogue thrown in but that's okay by me as I loved the majority of all this stuff. The Arena was also good for what it was but could have been better. The only stuff I wasn't a fan of was the Shangri-La missions and the Yogi and Reggie missions. Those eight missions are the only reason this category doesn't get a perfect ten rating from me.
Overall - 9/10
While it doesn't surpass Far Cry 3 in regards to anyone or anything being as memorable or as awesome as Vaas, the overall experience is great especially if you loved Far Cry 3 like I did. Loved the several additions and enjoyed all 77+ hours that I put into the game. Loved the setting, atmosphere, etc. Solid story that becomes clearer and better once you see all the endings in the game. Great music, sound and voice acting. Simply, Far Cry 4 takes Far Cry 3, adds elements from Watch Dogs and AC Rogue while adding a few new gameplay elements like the grappling hook and makes it one hell of an amazing fun experience. The replay value is great if you're into 100% completion like I am. In summary, if you loved Far Cry 3, you should love and enjoy Far Cry 4 as well.Comment

I loved FC3's story. I've been following this game thread for awhile and have seen how folks have stated that the story is kind of directionless and lacks the emotion that was felt w/ Jason Brody. I got this game free via Ubisoft so you can't beat that, but I can't help feeling a little dismayed by what seems to be a lackluster story.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

In FC4 none of the main story missions really resonates apart from two or three.

Far Cry 4
I am about 2/3 thru the story, have finished all the outposts and towers (and Shangri-La) and now the Arena is nowhere to be found on my map. Is this normal? The only skill I have yet to unlock requires me to get a level 2 in the arena, but I can't find the danged thing.
Also eagles are ridiculous in this game. I wish they would have them attack about 90% less frequently.

I really enjoy FC4, but that's because the gameplay rocks. I don't really feel invested in the story like FC3 did more (as outlandish as a premise it was, it still made you care)Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
