Re: Fallout 4
Hay guys. Having trouble getting into this.
Started up and went to Corvega after meeting minuteman dude back in sanctuary.
I found it incredibly annoying. Tight quarters and, as in a level 5 or so, I suck.
Should I pass up on Corvega till I level up? Are all "dungeons" like that?
Any help would be appreciated.

Spoiler
I used a TON of sneaking in and around the plant. I think I used it more last night than in all of Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim combined. At first I was using a 13 DMG gun and trying to kill people by shooting but after my 10th death or so, I switched to a 34 DMG one. Even that was tough until I started just bashing people and launching Molotovs at people in the distance. For some reason, bashing them had a MUCH bigger impact than shooting them did...maybe because I have the Big Leagues perk? Regardless, once I finally found the key target, I threw a Molotov at him, watched him burn, and booked it out only fighting those that were completely blocking my path. Once I reached a point where it would let me fast travel back to the Settler and then back to Preston, I did that because I was already an hour and a half past when I wanted to get to bed. LOL
A couple words of advice/caution:
- There is actually a path to a back door that I found a lot easier. Don't remember the orientation of the plant but if you're facing what I consider the "front" (steps leading up and around), it's to your left about a block over. There were maybe 3-4 raiders that I was able to sneak around and get inside. They were still there when I came back out but at that point, I wasn't worried about anything other than surviving until I got far enough away.
- Once you get inside, there are a TON of doors and ladders back out to the Commonwealth while you're in the plant. BE CAREFUL with them! Maybe I've got a setting that's off or something but it was auto-saving every time. I'd accidentally leave, come right back in and be surrounded by all the raiders that were running after me. It was a PAIN to get killed and end up respawning right back into the same situation. That's how I discovered my bashing approach though.
- To get to the main target, there is an "office-ish" area with a small path into a bigger hangar-like area. Took me a while to figure that out.PSN: JWGoNDComment

Re: Fallout 4
I discovered a very annoying glitch during a Brotherhood of Steel mission last night
Spoilerso I'm doing the mission where I'm supposed to board the vertibird and attack Fort Strong but the game won't let me get it, I see the mission marker above it but there's no option to get it. If that weren't enough, my followers(no matter where I am) walk towards the airport to stand next to the vertibird to board it. I basically have to play without any followers until it gets patched or I attempt to take fort by myself. If I do attempt it I think I'll just bring every big gun I have and cross my fingers. My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

SpoilerIn mine, Brotherhood Knights were shooting the vertibird and one of the engines was burning, lol. Were they doing that in yours? Clearly something isn't right with that mission, but luckily I was able to get through it.Comment

Re: Fallout 4
Hit percentage. Each (most?) baddy has a critical location you should aim at if it's vulnerable. Damaging limbs can effect the baddie too though in different ways. Each limb has a damage bar above the hit percentage in vats. Once that bar is depleted that limb is crippled.
I'm going to check my play time when I get home, but overall I've probably died like 30 times lol, it's rough out there!Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: Fallout 4
I have a normal fully upgraded 10mm pistol that absolutely wrecks mirelurks, it fires so quick and has a huge clip, and since they can't walk without exposing their body, I just unload center mass and they drop before they even get close. I'm sure any of the rapid fire guns would be just as effective.Comment

Re: Fallout 4
I felt that Corvega was a miracle job by me.
I was probably a level 5 at the time and just took my time sneaking around, drawing enemies away, using cover.
It's the mission that definitely sucked me in to this game 100%
If you go in guns blazing without the benefits of a higher level and perks, you are making it too hard for yourself.

On Corvega :
Spoileranyone get to the one larger room where there is a guy on platform above you and is pretty tough to kill? Took me a while, but I took him out. I could find no way to get up there though. There are cranes in the room and an assembly line with a little gated area in the middle. I have no idea how I'm supposed to get up to that platform he was onComment
