Yeah it was really cool watching that happen and how the others responded. I'll probably move it closer to the bridge in Sanctuary, maybe she won't have to run as far the next time haha!

This game is definitely owning me right now! I have spent the past few nights working on my settlement and a better way of managing my extra weapons and armor. My Sanctuary Hills settlement started out pretty basic with one structure I built for a sleeping quarters, some extra food planted and a few defensive gun turrets. I just added my own personal man cave workshop. This structure holds all my crafting stations, a power armor station and the four suits of armor I am assembling. I also added several foot lockers to better organize all my extra weapons and armor. One locker holds all the legendary and special ability weapons and armor I have collected, another holds all my explosives, melee weapons are all together and another one holds everything else as far as weaponry. I find it very immersive to play this way as I will visit this makeshift armory to load up before embarking on scavenger runs or missions. One thing I am mulling over is leaving some of the better weapons out on a table for visual immersion sake. And it will be much faster to choose what I want to take with me, instead of wading through the trade menus at each foot locker

I have also set up some purified water stations at Sanctuary and one of my smaller settlements to generate some cap income. Next up is setting up some of the trade booths.

A cool thing happened last night, while working on the man cave Sanctuary got raided. As I was looking around to see where the action was and see a female settler running up the street, she sounds the alarm and everyone else came running from different directions with guns drawn to join the fun, good stuff!! hahaha

One thing that would be nice is having the ability to relocate the main settlement workshop. It's kind of stuck where it is and I have to return often to access it again if I have to shut it down temporarily to access the Pipboy or something. Some times it stays on the screen as an option to reopen, other times it will disappear forcing me to return to the workshop to access it again, uggghhh!

Oh yeah forgot to mention, have the man cave powered up very nicely, the upstairs is also my sleeping quarters. I have the bobble heads displayed up there and the cartoon books as well. There's also a balcony upstairs that became my sniper's nest last night during the raid. I stood up there and picked some fools off, lol

I can't remember the default but if you are within a settlements boundaries holding down one of the buttons opens the workshop menu so you don't have to go to the bench each time. For me it's R3 but I've changed my defaults.

On the X1 it's holding down the switch camera button by default.

Ok cool, I will look into that after work. That will make a huge difference and save some time, thanks!

Yeah you can enter workshop mode anywhere in your settlement. I've been running low on aluminum lately. So annoying.

Does anyone know the default on doing this on the P4? I tried it with the glide pad last night after the workshop option disappeared and all it did was toggle the views. I tried single presses and holding it down.

Yes that's it. I couldn't remember what the other function of that button was. I only switch to 3rd person when I'm trying to jump to places where Bethesda likes to hide things.

That's where the material highlight is great for me. Helps me weed through cans and pin point the aluminum ones. Every bit helps.

It is the touchpad, or whatever you use to switch from 1st to 3rd person. It's a bit wonky, you can't have anything else open. You have to hold it though. It's a bit touchy until you get used to it.

Okay thanks Kodii, I was pretty sure it was the correct button. I'll try it again.

Re-entering the workshop using the touch pad only works if you've recently exited the workshop and the icon for it is still up on the screen. It goes away after awhile or if you do something else. I don't know, it disappearing seems to be random. But it for sure isn't an option until after you actually visit the workshop then exit the build screen.
