You may have accidentally told him to wait. I think fast traveling makes him spawn in you.

Was sneaking my way through danger and noticed he wasn't around. Odd.

From my experience this seems to be a fairly random occurrence, I have had Dogmeat and Cogsworth both come up missing at times. I'm sure other companions do the same but I have not used any of them yet. Opening a door that loads a new environment, using elevators which is actually a loading graphic I'm sure, fast traveling, amongst a few other tricks will all bring the companion back with you.

On a side note, Cogsworth has got to be the most annoying companion ever, lol. Sure he's a killing machine and saves your back a lot, but his never ending chatter and the fact that he's ALWAYS in the way blocking doors, in your line of sight during a gun fight, or just generally being a pain in the *** makes me want to whip out the Gatlin gun and pulverize him, lol!

Put anything you're not using in the workbench, especially junk because junk is automatically scrapped when you need a material for building stuff or doing mods to your weapons/armor. Plus you can then access anything you have in there from any workbench you're at within Sanctuary. As for an early vendor, Trashcan Carla roams around the land near Sanctuary.

Ever since I ran into Carla in the wastes she's always at Sanctuary. All the time. Never leaves. Feels like a bug to me. But it's nice she's always there. Not complaining. I know I can always milk some caps out of her with some worthless armor pieces, old world money, etc.

Yeah there are times she leaves but she is there most of the time.

"old world money" and cigarettes are the best for just pure cap grabs...

I like the feature where you can add the magnifying glass to items that contain content your looking for. For me it's aluminium and screws which I need for gun mods so I'll always quickly be able to see what junk I should grab.

My friends character is just monster.

His set up is Strength and Endurance with the Vats one as well. He focuses on Melee.

He basically goes into Vats, no matter how far away the enemy is, and selects like 3 to 4 people. He then, after getting the perk for melee range, teleports to each enemy bashing thier faces in like a ninja. Lololol.

He also has the endurance perk that gives him more defense when standing still. Just overall he wrecks everything on the hardest difficulty in the game.

My brother went down the luck tree and its funny to see when he levels sometimes his character goes, "Uh derrrrr" (seriously says that, lol) with that perk that randomly gives you multiple XP and gives you more based on you intelligence level. He goes up like 4 levels at a time when it happens.
