    Re: Fallout 4

I'm liking the full dialogue interface mod. It's nice to at least know what you're going to say, especially the sarcastic option. Still doesn't fix the underlying issue of lack of meaningful options.

Player agency in general is diminished. Essentially, I feel like I'm playing a pre-defined wanderer with limited and mostly static ways to manipulate the world and roleplay. Even Fallout 3 didn't feel this limiting.

Thankfully, I find other aspects of the game really enjoyable and can't wait for the GECK to be released, so people can start making some real game-changing mods.

I think criticisms of lack of meaningful dialogue is overstated. Most games that give you dialogue options are just as limited. You won't change much about the plot based on dialogue. That's just a fact with games currently.

Most games also offer more wiggle room. You can't even really be a bad person and the world acknowledges little of anything. A big component of Fallout has always been about how your character related to the world based on choices. This has been lessened immensely.

As far as options, anything more than just the 4, which mostly fall into the same 4 categories themselves and ultimately railroad you to the exact same conclusion would've been welcomed. More branches, more speech options besides charisma, anything that adds more dynamics to conversations.

I've discovered and cleaned up every location in the north west quadrant I could. I did finally run into a location I couldn't handle. That's why I think maybe I should start following the story a bit.

Sucks. My clothing store, bar and general store don't have that problem. Gun store is assigned and always has no worker.

Whenever I get a worker like that, I send them away and import a worker from another location. That fixes it.

Ok. That's good to know. Only problem is I can't send people to sanctuary right now. It's greyed out when I try to. Not sure if it's because I recently sent a few people there or what. By send them away you mean get them out of the settlement all together? Maybe once I do that it will let me import another settler there.

                              Settlements have a settler cap.

I guess I should probably start playing the settlement game now. Been questing and Sanctuary is just the original people plus 5 companions I've come across. That first house is a nice little compound though - haven't completely neglected it.

I don't think I'm going to make Sanctuary my main spot though. Have my eye on a certain settlement that's more central and doesn't have the clutter of houses to build around.

Sanctuary must be at its cap for me then. I have sanctuary built up pretty nicely. Red rocket and the drive in too. All the others are pretty much just the few settlers they started with or a muttfruit farm. I'm going to start another once soon just not sure where yet.
