You can just keep getting grenades in the castle armory. I'm also pretty sure once you place an artillery that settlement produces them

Re: Fallout 4
Its more of like a guess for me but one of my friends said he was caught in a bad place and called for fire and he was out of range. Soon....me being paranoid I picked settlements that afforded me a tactical range fan if you will that gave me a warm and fuzzy. So far I haven't been in a place where it wasn't available.."Im all jacked up on mountain dew!"

Fallout 4
Anybody here bought this game without playing any of the previous Fallout games? I've never played any of the Fallout games before but this one has caught my eye and seems interesting.
Thinking of purchasing to fill my time between mlb the show15 and NBA 2k16. Usually purchase COD but not digging the futuristic vibe this year's game and the last few have gone.
Looking for a fun game that isn't too "science fictiony" and I can pick up and enjoy without feeling like I have to put numerous hours into it just to enjoy it. Something that I can play an hour or two a day till baseball season rolls around.
Don't want to derail the thread but any input or recommendations would be appreciated. From the looks of this forum, it looks like a fun game and I'm leaning towards going out and getting it since I'm off for vacation the rest of the week.

Re: Fallout 4
I've never played a Fallout game before and I'm fine. It takes a while to get used to the inventory/interface system because it's just poorly designed. Other than that once you get the mechanics down, you'll certainly find a thing to do for an hour or two for about 3 years in this game if that's all you play at at time.Comment

Re: Fallout 4
Anybody near the end of the game? I have a few questions :
SpoilerI went to the institute and got tasked with following a Courser while he did a job. Once I got there the BOS was there fighting him. I fast traveled out of there because I have barely done any BOS quests yet. I then went and did a few, which are the same ol - clear a building out and find something type things. I just want vertibird access - lol.
Anyway just curious when I start up the institute quests - does that basically line me up with them and ruin any chance I have of doing BOS quests? Also how far am I away from end game and what level should I be at to handle whatever is throw at me? Im currently 38Comment

Re: Fallout 4
I am in that category. never played ANY fallout, skyrim, or bethesda game for that matter. Game is worth it...but be warned...it will own you. I look forward to playing every time I fire up the XB1. People talk about the graphics, but truly...I think they are pretty on point for how huge this game is. Explosions, sounds, and ambiance of the world really is nice. The game is way more user friendly from what I gather this year. Not as much stuff to worry about and can be a shooter at times which for me is fun in the way I engage. I even had one Raider who said literally, "F it...I am not dying for this" and booked it from a firefight of which I of course ran her down and gave her a proper sending off. Overall...school yourself up on the IGN on "fallout in 5 mins" its a great video to get caught up in the series since you are new and backstory is nice...and the IGN wiki page has some nice newbie friendly adviceComment

Seriously, I'm a 95% sports gamer. The only non sports game I have on my PS4 are BF4, Destiny, TLoU and Fallout. I've played TLoU for about 4 hours in the year or so since I bought it. BF4 and Destiny got lots of hours, but Fallout has taken over my soul and I love it, I'd definitley say it's worth a shot if you can get used to the slow start of things.Always looking for solid CF25 Dynasty owners, follow the link to get started >> PS5 P5 Dynasty DiscordComment

Re: Fallout 4
The other thing I'd suggest is reading some of the "Things you need to know..." articles. It's really easy to miss tutorial messages the only time the game flashes it in the corner of the screen. One good example is you can change the color of your pip boy text, which in turn changes the color of your flashlight. Light blue >>>>>> default green.Comment

Re: Fallout 4
This game is definitely owning me right now! I have spent the past few nights working on my settlement and a better way of managing my extra weapons and armor. My Sanctuary Hills settlement started out pretty basic with one structure I built for a sleeping quarters, some extra food planted and a few defensive gun turrets. I just added my own personal man cave workshop. This structure holds all my crafting stations, a power armor station and the four suits of armor I am assembling. I also added several foot lockers to better organize all my extra weapons and armor. One locker holds all the legendary and special ability weapons and armor I have collected, another holds all my explosives, melee weapons are all together and another one holds everything else as far as weaponry. I find it very immersive to play this way as I will visit this makeshift armory to load up before embarking on scavenger runs or missions. One thing I am mulling over is leaving some of the better weapons out on a table for visual immersion sake. And it will be much faster to choose what I want to take with me, instead of wading through the trade menus at each foot locker
I have also set up some purified water stations at Sanctuary and one of my smaller settlements to generate some cap income. Next up is setting up some of the trade booths.
A cool thing happened last night, while working on the man cave Sanctuary got raided. As I was looking around to see where the action was and see a female settler running up the street, she sounds the alarm and everyone else came running from different directions with guns drawn to join the fun, good stuff!! hahaha
One thing that would be nice is having the ability to relocate the main settlement workshop. It's kind of stuck where it is and I have to return often to access it again if I have to shut it down temporarily to access the Pipboy or something. Some times it stays on the screen as an option to reopen, other times it will disappear forcing me to return to the workshop to access it again, uggghhh!
