Where can you sell things at? I've been looking for someone to sell some of guns I have but can't find anyone.

I'm not too far. Not even to the city. Was just doing side stuff. I don't know I feel like I'm doing so much looting just don't find much ammo. Think I'm
Level 6. I have numerous guns. Just always scarce on ammo. This is my first fallout I'm thinking it's just not for me. Feels kind of like a chore. I might go back to it after beating tomb raider and give it another try.

If it feels like a chore then you're probably right that it isn't a game for you.

One thing that really worked for me was changing the HUD and Pipboy color from green to yellow. I was having a tough time reading the green text, but the yellow really pops to me.

pretty much any vendor, just click on the left trigger to sell stuff. I will say this, if Fallout 4 is your first bethesda RPG then it will be overwhelming. Where lots of companies like to dumb it down for newcomers, Bethesda stuck to its tried and true formula and even added stuff for us long time players.

I have ammo problems too if I do missions back to back to back. I just run out. Im constantly using a terrible laser rifle because it always has ammo for me even though my build is all about pistols.

Started playing last night. Initial impressions are all good, really. I think the story is somewhat lacking, though I admit I haven't gotten very far. Maybe it gets more fleshed out. But this is the Fallout I love. Once I figured out what was going on with the settlements, I spent hours last night just messing with that stuff. Now I realize I'm short on some necessary items and need to go scrounging for them.

It is nice that all the junk in the world finally has some purpose.

Does anyone know if when you equip a follower with a gun if they need ammo/run out of ammo for it as well?

Like if I give Preston a .44 revolver do I need to give him ammo for it as well?

Same with Followers and Power Armor. Can i equip it onto followers and does it reduce energy when they use it.

I haven't tried either myself so can't verify. But I've seen a few people say that if you put your companion in power armor it won't use the core at all.

Having a lot of fun so far. Never played a Fallout game before, but II played the hell out of Skyrim, so I knew kind of what to expect.

I've been mainly exploring, which gets me into trouble. I've ran into quite a few situations where I get killed almost instantly by something or someone, lol.

That's a great tip, thanks. I hate the map on the pip boy. Not big enough, and I just don't like the look of it.

Stick with it. Once everything clicks you will be happy you did. This game can be difficult at times but VERY rewarding.

Stay out of sight as best you can, choose your battles wisely, and take almost anything that isn't nailed down...this game rewards exploration.

I don't think a game has had a hold over me like this since Skyrim.

Whenever I'm not playing Fallout, I'm thinking about Fallout.

I'm so addicted I bought New Vegas to play at my girlfriend's house because she has a PS3, just so I'd have something to do to scratch the Fallout itch (Very good game, not at all the same).

Don't be afraid to crank it down to easy. I did for awhile, was able to hone my skills and really find my love for the game when I didn't have to worry so much about dying. You can always go back up once you get the hang of things.
