Sold my Pip-boy edition on ebay tonight for $185. That pays for the digital version I am playing.

the build quality is very good i hear but its a novelty as its just quicker to bring up the pipboy in game, unless you plan on keeping your phone on until it dies.

So I have 2 pretty successful settlements, still not quite sure what the benefit is other than having a place to call home. I would love for them to generate some bottlecaps...

FA3 included plus first to get Mods... (Which neither of these I care about)
Plus I'm not that far in the game so a switch now woul;dn't be too bad.

However I may not though since I have Tomb Raider and Forza on the One.

We'll see...

Encountered my first legendary enemy tonight. It was a mirelurk, and it kicked my ***.


Edit: And it respawned in the same spot and I was prepared that time! Got a legendary mutant slayer 10mm for my troubles.

WTF! I spent the last 2 hours building at Red Rocket, but as I was building it, a legendary super mutant attacks me in the garage and kills me with a single molotov. Of course, I didn't save that entire time...

WTF! I spent the last 2 hours building at Red Rocket, but as I was building it, a legendary super mutant attacks me in the garage and kills me with a single molotov. Of course, I didn't save that entire time...

Lol, I was thinking of moving my Outpost/Main Outpost to the Red Rocket Station and building a little town there. Basically like a checkpoint along the road, build the surrounding area with walls then putting doors where the road is with Turrets guarding with some guard posts.

Ran into my first legendary.....it was a radroach that dies in one shot, lol. Dropped some pool cue that does 25% more damage to something (or overall, not sure since I am playing more of a ranged build with only 1 endurance).

Heh, and that's where it was. Some serious enemies in there, luckily the dog is a good decoy.

When I turned a corner to see someone spinning up a minigun, I about booked it, but the dog ran in, all the enemies focused on him, and I was able to peek around and VATS them all in one go, all headshots. There is some nice stuff in there though, thinking about it I should have had the dog sniff around in case I missed something.

I just found a fusion core in Kendall Hospital. It's in the basement near where the Deathclaw is.

there are about 7 fusion cores in Toms Hardware.

Back to the world of the living... Had dreams about fallout, woke up wanting to play fallout, and I can hear diamond city radio in my head right now. This is going to be a long day.

^ Same here Cusefan, I literally could not stop playing last night. Was up a good 2 hours later than I should have been.

I'm really surprised at all the info flying around this thread without spoiler tags...especially with this game and it being all about finding stuff on your own. I'm no mod, but I think we should tidy that up a bit going forward, ladies and gentlemen.

I set the game to hard, and I'm glad I did. It's really, really hard right now. But I did the first mission for the minute men, had to clear out a compound full of Raiders. Took my time, stayed in cover, and meticulously moved my way through the compound. It was so ****ing rewarding when I completed it.

Mind you, I die A LOT. Just running through the wasteland, I routinely come across situations that are just way over my head and I get smoked, lol.

Thank God the quicksave feature is easy and only takes like a half second to do. I learned early on to quicksave after any series of the game where I think: "Well, I wouldn't want to do THAT again!"

But I will really feel like I've accomplished something if I level my character up effectively and the game becomes easier. Every level up (I'm only level 5 right now) seems SO crucial. I spend about 10-15 minutes looking through the perks deciding which one I need the most.
