But anyway, if you are in Sanctuary, you need to explore the houses better. There are safes in the houses and they have guns and ammo in them.

Anybody know how to power utilities in a house? I built a generator and attached a conduit to the roof of my house. Grabbed a TV and put it inside, but I'm not sure how to power it on now. Maybe the conduit has a wire, I did this pretty late last night and may have missed it.

I just got halo for the campaign. Never really planned on playing multiplayer. I gave it a shot though.

I'm assuming I need to pick these safe locks? Which circles back to my lack of lock picks issue. I've found one set of like 3 picks in a medicine cabinet. Haven't come across any others since.

I love the game. The Bethesda model is as engrossing as usual, but please, please, for ES VI move on from Gamebryo/"Creation Engine." I too love the power of it to create truly dynamic open-world experiences, but it's just been pushed to its limits and feels stale and dated.

Ok, I attached the wire to the conduit from the generator and put the conduit on a rooftop corner. Just not sure where to go from there. Currently only just a TV in the house I'm trying to power.

Oh ok, Halo is all about competitive PVP now really. Campaign is a side thing, takes like 6 hours to beat.

You should have a lot more bobby pins. I have 27 and I have only been in the vault, sanctuary, Gas station and just a little exploring in the settlement with the museum (got the suit and gun, cleared quest where you kill all the hostiles).

Just sounds like you are not exploring enough. Also, quick save before you pick a lock and just reload if the pin breaks. There is a 2 minute youtube tut on lock picking that will show you the basics, and then just a little trial and error (and a few reloads) will get you the rest of the way.

Yeah I keep reading this. I barely played Skyrim because I could not really get into first person for a sword based game. So I guess I am lucky in that I am not burnt out on the engine.

To be honest, my first impressions of this game were - "wow, I thought the graphics were supposed to be really bad". They are good. At least enough to be immersive for me on X1.

I wouldn't call them bad, but I would say they are really uneven. I'm really impressed with some of the art direction, and also how moving to this gen has allowed Bethesda to blow out the scale and density of geometry in areas, and implement some nice lighting and other effects in places . At the same time there are some really old looking, low-poly, poorly textured assets sprinkled in that are really rough looking and would be at home in Fallout 3 in 2008.

Yeah, I can see these points...more in general that there's some areas that this Bethesda engine struggles and they probably can't fix it without performance issues...They've always struggled in some areas

Switching back and forth between New Vegas and Fallout 4 will give you a new appreciation for 4's (in my opinion) beautiful graphics.

I'm hoping going back to 3 later won't be too tough

Same with Followers and Power Armor. Can i equip it onto followers and does it reduce energy when they use it.

If you let them use what they already have and do not equip them with anything...they never run out of ammo. If you equip them...then they will.

So don't equip your companions with weapons. Then they will have unlimited ammo.

And don't throw away that gun, cause i think that gun always has unlimited ammo or something...remember reading that somewhere.

Can you have multiple followers/companions at once or are you limited to one like in Skyrim?

                          Some 3rd Person Footage.
It looks pretty good to me - very similar to Mass Effect.

For someone who can't play FPS's due to migraines this is great news.
The game seems incredibly deep and I've always wanted to play the Fallout series.
Might be looking to pick this up for the Christmas Holidays.

Does it stay there indefinitely or will a raider or something steal it? Right now my power armor is at the red rocket building, but all my time is spent at sanctuary. I would really love for someone to loot my armor because it would make this game much cooler than it already is....does that sort of thing happen? This is my first fallout game.

I've read that if you leave it there with a working core they will take the armor, but never ready about them pillaging a powered down suit.
