wow that's almost 2.5 work weeks! when did the game come out!?!?!

hey man I'd be right there with you if it was possible. If I had to guess I'm probably around the 10-12 hrs range.

Anyone have tips on how to level up a bit quicker? I'm at the point where I want to be lvl 13 for the gun nut perk #3 but I'm finding not a lot of places I can go without getting killed. I'm playing on Hard, so that's one factor. I'd like to explore and find new places because that seems to do it the fastest, but I found out quickly that east of diamond city for example, I get completely ruined by bugs! It's no joke out there...

You get XP for everything you build. Get enough stuff and build a bunch of walls.

I don't remember enemies being so tough in FO3. Of course I never went without power armor in fallout 3 and haven't used it much at all in this game. Is everyone just using power armor sparingly or am I missing a way to use it all the time?

I'm at a days play time and I just found my first core since the start. I've barely used it like you. I've probably been building for half that time though.

Questing will level you up the quickest. Start questing. There are tons and tons of quests in this game.

I go through stretches where i wont find any cores for hours. Then find 5 in like 30 minutes. Apparently ive used 23 cores in 96 hours. If that actually means used and not found then ive found 27 total.

Check any buildings you come across and check them well. They arent all in the generator things like the 1st one you get.

If you get your intelligence to level 9 you can get the Nuclear Physicist perk. Cores last 25% longer at Level 1, 50% longer at Level 2 and twice as long at level 3.

Ill put this in a spoiler since im not sure. Not a spoiler at all to me.

I haven't used it since the quest where you get it. Just haven't ran across a situation where I haven't been able to handle it with my regular weapons/armor. Even after dying a couple times, you can usually figure out a way to win without resorting to the power armor.

I have barely used it as well. I currently have 4 frames and 3 complete suits. I have 100 cores so I can probably start using it soon.

Been exactly the same for me. However I have found a couple of quests where fast traveling back to Sanctuary and getting my Power Armor and Mini Gun and coming back and unleashing some carnage will be a fun way to clear out certain missions.

Tonight I will be doing that on a settlement quest to get Gray Garden into my future trade route.

I agree. But some places I've just gone the other way after dieing. I'll just check back when I have some better weapons and armor.

Either join or slaughter the Brotherhood of Steel. If you join they give you one pretty quick into their quest line.

Does joining them make the Minute Men turn on you? I saw someone talking about joining one faction makes the other hate you.
