I got a real kick out of that IGN video, and thought the game looked nice too. BTW there are some little gaming hotties working at IGN.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Alien Isolation (PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 & PS4)
My only worry is how the Alien seemed to appear in the same spots every time for all these different players.
I hope that was just a result of this footage coming from a "demo level," because SEGA has been advertising the Alien's AI as being a lot more dynamic than what was shown here.Comment

Some impressions from E3
Metro Co UK
For us the whole experience was a hugely impressive one, with the game’s amazing visuals being absolutely pitch perfect and looking far more authentic and atmospheric than the last several Alien movies (no, Promotheus doesn’t count – for anything).
Although he clearly wasn’t very comfortable being interviewed the main problem seemed to be that Creative Assembly are purposefully holding back a lot more secrets. Hope seemed to like our idea that a second person should be able to use the motion tracker on a tablet, like Lambert in the original film, but when pressed on whether he was actually planning to add something like that he answered only, ‘We have some really cool ideas that we’ll be sharing later on in the year’.
But the only thing people really want to know is if the game is an authentic Alien experience and if it’s actually scary. The answer to this is an emphatic ‘yes’, and we can’t wait to play the full game in October. Especially as at that point no one will be there to hear us scream.
PC Gamer
Isolation makes you realize that every Alien game for the past decade has been a thematic mismatch. Alien isn’t about its marines, its pulse rifle, or its action. It’s about fear, uncertainty, and how a single, fragile human copes with a genetically superior monster-predator. It’s wonderful to see Sega supporting a premise—admittedly after supporting one or two other conventional directions for Alien that didn’t pan out—that’s driven by emergent storytelling and trusting that the game’s systems are well-enough designed to produce a great experience for everyone.
Playing Alien: Isolation felt like learning how to swim for the first time. When you’re first dropped into Sevastopol space station (through an air duct in the ceiling, in my case), there’s a feeling of total uncertainty about what’s safe and what isn’t. Where can I hide? When is it okay to run? Will the alien see me under this desk? How far away can a gunshot be heard? How long will cowering inLast edited by Picci; 06-10-2014, 08:21 PM.Comment

Pre-Order Bonus DLC: Play 2 missions involving original crew members from Alien
Please ignore the negative Kotaku tone. They have a hatred against pre-orders, but I feel its misplaced on this one.
