Love the game and the team made it so much better than the Alpha. Currently ranked in the top 70 for Monsters. Can't wait until Feb 10 and yes if you play with randoms who don't have mics your going to be destroyed. I believe the game is going to do great on the Esports stage.

Re: Evolve (PC, XB1, PS4)
There will certainly be a competitive scene, but to what extent is difficult to say. It's not easy to make a splash in eSports. The community is very opinionated on what they deem as competitively viable and traditionally only balanced head-to-head play has resonated well. The one thing Evolve has going in its favor, is when players know and play their roles well, it can be entertaining as a viewer. It takes more though to have staying power, like heavy investments in advertizing and prizes, and a large amount of casual interest and support.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Evolve (PC, XB1, PS4)
I don't see how it catches on as an eSport. It's always 4 vs 1, so are teams going to be 5 members with one of them who mains the monster? Left 4 Dead was a really fun game and my favorite FPS from last gen, but that was never played as an eSport. When the eSport scene is dominated by Dota, League, CS:GO, and Hearthstone I just don't see this catching on at all, with the way that its structured.
I did have fun with the Alpha/Beta, but I feel like its going to suffer from the same problem Titanfall had with a lack of content. I feel like its worth waiting a month or two to see if the player base is still there.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Evolve (PC, XB1, PS4)
I just cancelled my pre-order this evening. The more I thought about this, as fun as it seems, I don't see me getting a regular group together to play (I don't know anyone buying it) and its obviously going to be impossible to enjoy playing with randoms. Plus I don't like having to talk into the mic much anyway. Now playing

Not sure if I'm reading this right, but I believe this article speculates that Evolve could be a free PSN game this February?

Re: Evolve (PC, XB1, PS4)
Unless Evolve is REALLY afraid sales are going to tank and think that maybe people will spring for the DLC (of which there seems to be a lot) if they got the base version for free?
It does seem very non sensical but. I'd be happy if they'd just finally release the Driveclub plus version. Now playing

Re: Evolve (PC, XB1, PS4)
Just got this exchange from someone on the Evolve team. Pretty encouraging in terms of offline play. I am not really interested in playing online, unless I can always be the monster.
